The assessment of the severely handicapped in the supported employment model should be focused on an ecological assessment system considering positive personal assessment reality, work-related personal ability and situation and the atmosphere of the workplace. An ecological vocational assessment model is a concept consisting of measurement, data analysis and decision making. It is interested in measuring personal ability, but has important differences from a traditional assessment model in measurement, data analysis and decision making. These difference are that a traditional vocational evaluation model emphasize measurement of elements related to ability and jobs of the handicapped, but ecological vocational evaluation puts emphasis on ecological, comprehensive measurement, such as personal ability, social situation, physical, social organizational and relative variable, goal adjustment, system management, change property, and external motivation applicable with traffic. Outside stimulus including vocational training is also a cause for deciding the degree of application in job placement of communities, accordingly comprehensive assessment on these should be established. The model of supported employment emphasize constant evaluation as an essential condition for successful performance, and the evaluation insists on not the traditional vocational model but the integrated evaluation of ecological-side.
