Also this study is to find out its effect on the development of the sub-elements of creativity : fluency, originality, the abstractness of theme, elaboration and openness. and to search for an efficient teaching method appropriate for the nature of art education to induce children`s active participation and motif. The research questions were established follows do the children that participate in an expression-by-painting activity with basic components have effects on fluency, originality, abstractness, elaboration, openness, of sub-elements of creativity? The subject of the study is 48 children six-year-old of educational institutes for children in Chonju. which are divided into an experimental group(24) and a constraint group(24). After two groups are pre-tested by Torrance`s Test for Creative Thought(TTCT), the experimental group is made to attend the program total 24 sections (2 sections per week, 12 weeks) and the constraint group doesn`t do anything. When two groups are post-tested after taking the program, the results are analyzed by the statistics and the graphs of the paired t-test for the pre-test and post-test according to each sub-element of creativity using SPSSWIN, and the statistics and graphs of the independent t-test for the difference of two groups. As a result, the efficiency of the program is verified. The results are summarized as follows: The children that participated in the program for an expression-by-painting activity with basic components had more significant effects on fluency, originality, abstractness of theme, elaboration, openness, one of sub-elements of creativity, than the children that didn`t. Conclusively, when the statistic effects of each sub-element of creativity had significant meanings, it showed that children`s creativity was much improved by an expression-by-painting activity.
