Two different types of mtDNA size and restriction site variation were found in Korean Rana amurensis in Maehwa(MH) and Kangrung(KR) populations. mtDNA size in MH and KR populations was 21.0±0.2Kb and 21.5±0.2Kb respectively. Double enzyme digestions were performed to investigate mtDNA restriction map difference between the two groups and the addition of 0.5Kb fragment was observed between enzyme sites of Bcl I and Eco RI in KR population. The fragment homology(F) and the nucleotide sequence divergence(p) were respectively 0.531 and 3.68% with the site homology(s) value of 0.939% and the p value of 1.044%.
