Polysomal RNAs of cytochrome oxidase of mouse tissues were compared using antibody. The number of RNA bands precipitated by antibody prepared against cytochrome oxidase was between 5 and 13 depending on tissue type. There was a similarity in the number of RNA bands between adult muscle and adult spleen (6 and 5) and between baby muscle and fetus muscle (11 and 13).
