Genetic studies on the red cell NADH-Diaphorase 1(Dia 1), Nucleoside phosphorylase(NP), Superoxide dismutase 1(SOD 1) and Uridine monophosphate kinase (UMPK) polymorphism have been studied on a total of 1,202 individuals in Korea using polyacrylamide and starch gel electrophoresis. The observed gene frequencies for the polymorphic systems of Dia and UMPK were as follow; Dia 1*2, 0.0025 and UMPK*2, 0.029. However, NP and SOD 1 were fixed at NP*1 and SOD 1*1, respectively.
