Banding patterns were revealed in the karyotypes of Allium victorialis, A. senescens and A. senescens var. minor using BSG technique. These species showed considerable interspecific variation as regarding to both amount and number of bands, although some difficulties were encountered with heteromorphology which was small but significant intra-specific differences in banding patterns. These species possessed conspicuously larger amount and more number of bands than other Allium species, and appearing centromeric bands in all of the chromosome components is the first time as far as Allium in Korean population is concerned.
