This study was performed with whole body MRI Analysis to calculate regional and total composition Six healthy men volunteered, aged 25.3±4.9yr, weighted 79.3±16.7kg, and BMI 26.6±4.6 kg/m^2 were participated in this study. MRI was obtained with whole body scanner 0.5 Tesla with a Spin-echo sequences RT 500 msec and ET 20 msec. Tranverse slices (10mm thickness) were acquired every 10mm from head to toe. A total of 180 to 210 images were acquired from each subject. The mean±SD on bone of total body was 10.90±1.75%. That of muscle, 51.28±8.97%, and fat 24.62±11.65%. In conclusion, these results in this study demonstrated that MRI provides reliable measures of regional and total body composition. The author suggests that as a criterion method MRI analysis is reasonable to develope a new evaluation method estimating for body composition.
