본 연구의 목적은 수준별 교육과정의 평가 영역과 준거를 밝히는데 있다. 이는 제7차 교육과정의 도입과 아울러 수준별 교육과정 평가의 활동이 필수적으로 요청된다는데 착안한 것이다. 먼저 수준별 교육과정과 관련된 논쟁점 고찰을 통해 수준별 교육과정의 본질적 특성에 접근하였다. 다음으로 교육과정 평가 모형들에 대한 고찰을 통해 교육과정 평가 영역을 제안하였다. 마지막으로 수준별 교육과정에 대한 논쟁점과 교육과정 평가 영역들을 관련 지워 수준별 교육과정 운영을 위한 계획, 수준별 교육과정 운영의 과정, 수준별 교육과정 운영의 성과로 구분된다. 이 연구는 수준별 교육과정 운영을 위한 계획에 초점을 두고, 이를 기초조사, 교육과정, 교수-학습자료, 지원체제의 네가지 영역으로 나누어 평가 준거를 개발하였다. 이 준거들은 수준별 교육과정 운영의 과정을 평가하는데에도 충분히 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to develop the evaluation criteria on the differentiated curriculum. For this study, we reviewed the concepts and debates of the differentiated curriculum and analyzed the key points of it. Next, we extracted three evaluation areas from several curriculum evaluation models. These consist of the plan for the operation of the differentiated curriculum, the process of the differentiated curriculum, the outcomes of the differentiated curriculum. Finally, we related the key points of the differentiated curriculum to the curriculum evaluation areas and developed the differentiated curriculum evaluation criteria. We focused on the evaluation of the plan for the operation of the differentiated curriculum. The criteria of this study are exploratory and don`t include the evaluation methods and instruments. Therefore, the further study should be followed for validating on these criteria and for developing the relevant evaluation methods and instruments.
