In this study, various kinds of models, procedures, and methods of organization diagnosis are reviewed, and readjusted to diagnose public sector organizations. Then, they are applied to diagnose the Chungbuk provincial government organizations. Based on the information drawn from the organization diagnosis, two strategies for restructuring the Chungbuk provincial government which include one for large-scale reorganization and the other for mid-scale reorganization are suggested.
