The static restoration processes that take place during the isothermal annealing of the hot worked Al-Li alloy, in the temperature range 380℃∼ 500℃, have been studied. The interrupted deformation was performed with the interruption time of 30∼600 sec and the strain intervals of 0.2, 0.7 and 1.2. During the interrupted deformation, the softening occured by the static recrystallization mechanism. The degree of softening was augmented with increase of the temperature, the interruption strain, and the interruption time.
