제올라이트계 MS-5A, MS-13X, 활성탄 K-AC, S-AC 및 SiO₂등 다섯 종류의 흡착제에 대한 프레온-12와 염화메틸렌의 흡착등온선을 BET 흡착장치와 가압흡착장치에서 측정하였다. 흡착등온선은 BET 상관식을 잘 만족시키며 상수 C값으로 추산된 흡착열로 흡착강도의 척도인 가역분율의 크기를 잘 설명할 수있었다. 동일한 평형압력에서 각 흡착제에 대한 두가지 할로겐화 탄화수소의 흡착량 크기는 S-AC>K-AC>MS-13X>SiO₂)MS-5A의 순서였다. 홉착량과 흡착강도 등을 비교하면 활성탄이 다른 흡착제 보다 최적의 흡착제였다.
The adsorption isotherms for halogenated hydrocarbons such as methylene chloride and Freon-12 on five kinds of adsorbents (two activated carbons, two molecular sieves, and SiO₂) were measured with the BET adsorption and the pressurized adsorption apparatus. The BET nultilayer model is shown to fit well the experimental adsorption isotherms. The adsorption capacity is in the order of S-AC>K-AC>MS-13X>SiO₂>MS-5A at the same equilibrium adsorption pressure. Enthalpy of adsorption which is estimated from the constant C of BET multilayer model seems to be related to the reversibility of adsorption and the strength of adsorption. Activated carbons used seems to be the best adsorbent among the other ones, comparing with the terms of the adsorption capacity and the adsorption strength.
