人工腎臟에 關해 化學工學的인 側面에서 考察해 보았다. 이 人工腎臟은 수많은 腎 不全症 患者의 生命을 延長해주고 있다. 人工腎臟 開發의 歷史, 傳達現像, 形態, 透析液과 吸着에 對해서 살펴보았다. 또한 간단한 人工腎臟 system에 對한 modeling을 紹介하였다.
The artificial kidney is reviewed with an emphasis on the chemical engineering aspects. This remarkable lifesaving device helps many people with acute or chronic kidney failure to extend their lives. Its history of development, transport phenomena in a dialyzer, shape of dialyzers, dialysis fluid and adsorbents are reviewed briefly. Also a simple modeling of the treatment is presented.
