The vapor-liquid equilibrium data for methyl alcohol-ethyl acetate system measured under subatmospheric pressures are presented in this paper. In order to confirm the accuracy of the experimental results, the x-y data measured are thermodynamically analyzed by the method applied in the previous studies. It is shown that the plot between logarithmic value of relative volatility and liquid phase composition is linear and the pressure variation does not change the slope of the plot. An empirical x-y relation is proposed and the pressure effect on the azeotropic composition is discussed in this paper.
