Abstract

The mode of action of host-specific HC-toxin was studied. The alkylation ability of HC-toxin to a bionucleophile, such as DNA, was proved by fluorescence spectrometry. However, the alkylation was not specific for isolated DNA from susceptible genotype of maize.
