한국사회에서 청소년 자살은 심각한 사회문제도 대두되었지만, 자살생각에 중점을 두고 시행한 실증연구는 다소 미흡한 것이 현실이다. 이 연구는 부모의 부정적 양육형태가 청소년의 자살생각과 자살시도에 영향을 미친다는 선행연구에 근거하여 자살경험의 전 단계라고 할 수 있는 자살생각에 초점을 맞추어 이와 관련한 실증연구를 수행하였다. 이 연구의 목적은 부모의 부정적 양육형태와 학업중단 청소년의 자살생각과의 관계에서 우울 및 불안이 어떻게 매개하는지 검증하는 것이다. 경기도가족여성연구원에서 실시한 ‘경기도 학교 밖 청소년 실태조사’ 설문 데이터를 기반으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 첫 번째로 부모의 방임 및 학대가 학업중단 청소년의 자살생각에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 두 번째로 부모의 방임 및 학대가 학업중단청소년의 우울 및 불안에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 청소년의 우울 및 불안이 자살생각에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 부모의 방임 및 학대가 우울 및 불안을 매개하여 학업중단 청소년의 자살생각에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구의 결과를 토대로, 부모의 양육태도의 중요성을 강조하여 부모인식개선과 부모의 방임 및 학대 여부를 점검 및 예방하는 정책적 방안을 제시하였고 청소년의 자살생각 경험을 감소시키기 위한 방안을 제시하였다.

Juvenile suicide has been an issue in Korea for years while the empirical results are rare in the literature. This study examines the relationship between negative parenting, suicidal ideation, depression, and anxiety among adolescents who dropped out of school. Drawing on previous research that links parental neglect and abuse to adolescents' suicidal ideation and suicide attempts, we aimed to verify the effect of parental neglect and abuse on suicidal ideation in this specific population. Additionally, we explored how depression and anxiety mediate and influence the association between parental neglect and abuse and suicidal ideation. The purpose of this study was to verify the effect of parental neglect and abuse on suicidal ideation in adolescents who dropped out of school and how depression and anxiety mediate and affect the relationship between suicidal ideation and suicidal ideation. For the purpose of this study, it was conducted based on the questionnaire data of the 'Survey on Out-of-School Youths in Gyeonggi-do, 2019' used in the 'Out-of-School Youth Size Estimation and Current Status Analysis in Gyeonggi-do' conducted by the Gyeonggi-do Family and Women Research Institute. As a result of the analysis, firstly, it was found that parental neglect and abuse had a significant effect on the suicidal ideation of adolescents who dropped out of school. Second, it was found that parental neglect and abuse had a significant effect on the depression and anxiety of adolescents who dropped out of school. Thirdly, it was found that depression and anxiety of adolescents who dropped out of school had a significant effect on suicidal ideation. Lastly, it was found that parental neglect and abuse mediate depression and anxiety and have a significant effect on suicidal ideation in adolescents who drop out of school. The results of this study show that parenting attitudes have a great psychological effect on adolescents who drop out of school. Based on the results of this study, the importance of parenting attitudes of parents was emphasized, ways to improve parental awareness and check and prevent parental neglect and abuse were suggested, and measures to lower adolescents' suicidal ideation were proposed.
