본 연구의 목적은 온라인 무용교육과 관련하여 컴퓨터 매체에 대한 구조적 접근을 인간과 기계라는 이분법적 시각이 아닌 유기체적인 관점에서 상호관계성을 조명해 보는데 있다. 이러한 접근은 지극히 생태학적인 관점에서의 상호 현시로서 매체 존재론이 논점이며 Levi Bryant의 매체생태론을 근거에 두고 철학적 논의를 시도하였다. 이 연구의 쟁점은 크게 세 가지이다. 첫째, 기계에 대한 생태학적 접근은 기존 유물론을 어떻게 재해석하고 있는가이다. 둘째, 컴퓨터 매체와 무용 간의 커넥터이다. 이는 ‘상호 매체되기’, ‘상호 확장되기’, ‘상호 학습하기’라는 논제를 통해 접근되었다. 셋째, 컴퓨터와 무용교육, 친밀함의 설계는 기계매체를 통해 어떻게 학습할 것인가에 대한 논의이다. 이러한 논의의 바탕에는 컴퓨터와 무용 간의 상호 매개적 특질과 학습역량에 대한 구조적 이해가 담겨있으며 생태적 관점에서 새롭게 온라인 무용교육과 컴퓨터 매체를 조명해 보았다는 점에 연구의 의의를 두었다.

The purpose of this study is to shed light on interrelationships between human beings and machines from an organic perspective rather than a dichotomous perspective as a structural approach to computer media related to online dance education. As a mutual revelation from a purely ecological perspective, such an approach takes the ontology of media as its point, attempting a philosophical discussion based on Levi Bryant’s media ecology. The issues at hand in this study are largely three. The first is how does the ecological approach toward machines renew and reinterpret the existing materialism. The second is the connection between computer media and dance. This is approached through the theses of ‘becoming inter-media’, ‘inter-expanding’, and ‘inter-learning’. Third, computer and dance education, and the design of intimacy are a discussion of how to learn through machine media. The basis of this discussion included a structural understanding of the intermediate characteristics and learning capabilities between computers and dance, and it was significant in that it shed new light on online dance education and computer media from an ecological perspective.
