Objective: The purpose of this study is to provide a better understanding of short turn mechanism by describing short turns after kinematic analysis and provide skiers and winter sports instructors with data through which they are able to analyze right postures for turns in skiing in a systematic, rational and scientific manner.
Method: For this, a mean difference of kinematic variables (ski-hip angle, ski-shoulder twist angle, pole checking angle, the center of gravity (CG) displacement, trunk forward lean angle) was verified against a total of 12 skiers (skilled and unskilled, 6 persons each), regarding motions from the up-start to down-end points for short turns.
Results: There was no difference in a ski-hip twist angle. The ski-shoulder twist angle was large at the up-start point while a pole-checking angle was high at the down-end point in skilled skiers. Concerning the horizontal displacement of CG, skilled skiers were positioned on the right side at the upstart point. No significant difference was observed in the trunk forward lean angle.
Conclusion: According to the ski-shoulder twist angle and CG horizontal displacement results, the upper body should be kept leant toward the pole. In addition, big turns should be made via edging and angulation. During pole checking, the hand holding the pole should be thrown and released toward a vector direction of the forearm.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of skill and distance factors on CoP (Center of pressure) and CoM (Center of mass) during golf putting.
Method: 38 golfers were participated in this study. 8 motion capture cameras (250 Hz) and 2 force plates (1,000 Hz) were used to collect CoP and CoM during 2 m and 3 m of distance golf putting. To identify main effect and interaction effect, it was performed Two-Way ANOVA at a significant level of a .05.
Results: In the novice group, CoP distance was significantly difference in the A/P direction and main effect between skill level and distance. Both groups indicated that CoP distance was significantly different and main effect between skill level and distance in the M/L direction. Finally, both groups showed that CoM was significantly different and main effect between skill level and distance in the M/L direction.
Conclusion: Therefore, novice golfers are expected to be able to perform more accurate and proper putting exercise through the practice of minimizing the center of mass(CoM) and center of pressure (CoP) in the M/L direction, which is the pendulum movement of the putter head.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the ratio of carrie's and run's distance in golf running approach using 52° and 48° wedges.
Method: 2 women's professional golfers from the LKPGA were given the running approach in the 5 m, 10 m, 15 m respectively. The variables were analyzed through a golf analyzer and actual measurement.
Results: If you send 5 m with 52° and 48° wedges, the ball run about 5 m, 10 m respectively, if you carry 10 m with 52° and 48° wedges, the ball run about 10 m, 13 m respectively. And if you carry 15 m with 52° and 48° wedges, the ball run about 13 m, 15 m respectively.
Conclusion: Based on the results, if you are confident in distance, if you choose the club properly and if you are confident, if you try to send the correct distance to the hole cup, then you will have a more confident approach, which will lead to better results.

4Effect of Passive Temperature Therapy of the Femoral Muscles on the Countermovement Jump Performance

Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of passive-acute temperature therapy of the femoral muscle and dynamic warm-up on the countermovement jump performance.
Method: Twenty male track and field athletes from national team underwent three treatments applied on the femoral muscles; cold temperature treatment, thermal treatment and dynamic warm-up. The variables extracted at 2 time points (pre-measurement and post measurement) were the temperature of the left and right femoral muscle, displacement & velocity of centre of mass, peak power out, range of motion and moment & power of the knee joint.
Results: There was a statistically significant difference in the temperature of the femoral muscle according to measurement time which was high in the order of thermal treatment, dynamic treatment and cold treatment. The jump height was the highest in the dynamic warm-up with no statistically significant difference for the range of motion of the knee joint. The peak power out at dynamic warm-up and the power of the knee joint were statistically significant according to the treatment and measurement time.
Conclusion: Local cold and thermal treatment of femoral muscles at ambient temperature did not improve jump performance, while dynamic warm-up was considered to be effective for maintaining the performance of the activities that require strong muscular power.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a 12-week Balanching Exercise on posture alignment, and foot plantar pressure balance in female middle students.
Method: The subjects consisted of 26 female middle students, Among of 26 people exercise group is 13 persons (age: 14.69±0.48 yrs, height: 156.62±6.96 cm, weight: 50.72±9.94 kg) and control group is 13 persons (age: 14.85±0.38 yrs, height: 158.93±4.44 cm, weight: 54.25±6.60 kg) and they played Balanching Exercise for 12 weeks for 60 minutes a day, three times a week.
Results: In this study, the changes of posture alignment of female middle students were analyzed. The results were as follows: head tilt, the shoulder tilt, the pelvis tilt in experimental group and there was statistically significant. Control group was head tilt, the shoulder tilt, the pelvis tilt but there was not statistically significant difference. The changes of foot pressure balance of female middle students were analyzed. The change of the foot pressure balance difference before and after the experimental group decreased by 29.3% from 6.69±3.86% to 4.73±3.57%, which was statistically significant. Control group was increased by 17.6% from 6.30±4.43% to 7.41±3.69% there was not statistically significant difference.
Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that Balanching Exercise has a positive effect on improving the posture alignment and has a positive effect on foot pressure balance Research should be continued. Keywords: Balanching exercise

Objective: The goal of this study was to determine the center of pressure (CoP) complexity pattern in approximate entropy technique between genders at different conditions of running speed.
Background: It is conducted to evaluate the complexity pattern of CoP in the increment of running speed to have insights to injury prediction, stability, and auxiliary aids for the foot.
Method: Twenty men (age=22.3±1.5 yrs.; height=176.4±5.4 cm; body weight=73.9±8.2 kg) and Twenty women (age=20.8±1.2 yrs.; height=162.8±5.2 cm; body weight=55.0±6.3 kg) with heel strike pattern were recruited for the study. While they were running at 2.22, 3.33, 4.44 m/s speed on a treadmill (instrumented dual belt treadmills, USA) with a force plate, CoP data were collected for the 10 strides. The complexity pattern of the CoP was analyzed using the ApEn technique.
Results: The ApEn of the medial-lateral and antero-posterior CoP in the increment of running speed showed significantly difference within genders (p<.05), but there were not statistically significant between genders at all conditions of running speed.
Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, CoP complexity pattern in the increment of running speed was limited to be characterized between genders as an indicator to judge the potential injury and stability.
Application: In future studies, it is needed to investigate the cause of change for complexity of CoP at various running speed related to this study.

7Statistical Parametric Mapping을 이용한 시상면에서의 양발 착지와 외발 착지의 전략 차이

Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate differences of shock attenuation strategies between double-leg and single-leg landing on sagittal plane using statistical parametric mapping.
Method: Nine healthy female professional soccer players (age: 24.0±2.5 yrs, height: 164.9±3.3 cm, weight: 55.7±6.6 kg, career: 11.2±1.4 yrs) were participated in this study. The subjects performed 10 times of double-leg and single-leg landing from the box of 30 cm height onto force plates respectively. The ground reaction force, angle, moment, angular velocity, and power of the ankle, knee, and hip joint on sagittal plane was calculated from initial contact to maximum knee flexion during landing phase. Statistical parametric mapping was used to compare the biomechanical variables of double-leg and single-leg landing of the dominant leg throughout the landing phase. Each mean difference of variables was analyzed using a paired t-test and alpha level was set to 0.05.
Results: For the biomechanical variables, significantly increased vertical ground reaction force, plantarflexion moment of the ankle joint, negative ankle joint power and extension moment of the hip joint were found in single-leg landing compared to double-leg landing (p<.05). In addition, the flexion angle and angular velocity of the knee and hip joint in double-leg landing were observed significantly greater than single-leg landing, respectively (p<.05).
Conclusion: These findings suggested that negative joint power and plantarflexion moment of the ankle joint can contribute to shock absorption during single-leg landing and may be the factors for preventing the musculoskeletal injuries of the lower extremity by an external force.
