Purpose: This study was designed to examine the casual relationships among startup internship service quality and entrepreneurial capability, entrepreneurial intention in startup education. Also, we intended to explore significant factors on use entrepreneurial intention through causal model analysis in the viewpoint of total effect. Methods: Questionnaire, as a research tool, has gotten validity and reliability through literature study, exploratory study and pretest and sample 123 was selected. To carry out statistical treatment of pretest and main analysis, SPSS18.0 were employed and regression model was employed as analysis method. Results: Result of this study shows as follows. Three factors (empathy, responsiveness and assurance) have an effect entrepreneurial capability and entrepreneurial intention. We found that with an importance of empathy, responsiveness and assurance can be useful and significant factors in causal relationship of startup internship education. Conclusion: The present study shows that three factors(empathy, responsiveness and assurance) in via of entrepreneurial capability and entrepreneurial intention, were important factors that related startup education have to emphasize to raise performance, And also we confirmed new 5 factor `empathy, responsiveness, assurance, reliability and tangibles`through this study. However, the present study has some limitations to be studied in the future.

Purpose: The primary objective of this case study is to establish a COQ(Cost of Quality) management system for power generation industries. Key topics of this study include collecting COQ elements, their classifications, COQ computation formula, and determining COQ improvement projects. Results: A comprehensive set of COQ elements have been isolated for electric power generation companies. The COQ elements were classified in such a way that they could be managed according to the PAF model as well as the SIPOC diagram. This study showed that a systematic approach could be established for monitoring the COQ elements and using them in the process of improving quality competitiveness. Methods: The PAF(Prevention-Appraisal-Failure) model has been employed in the process of collecting COQ elements for a power generation company. All the cost of quality elements were first examined through an extensive review of articles and books in the field of quality. The cost elements were then refined and augmented by conducting a comparative study with international standards. The COQ elements have been verified by a group of quality managers and classified according to both the PAF model and the SIPOC diagram for better understanding in the entire organization. An improvement strategy has been also proposed by using a typical COQ level of power generation companies. Conclusion: The conventional PAF model was used in establishing a COQ management system for power generation industries. This case study illustrates the procedure about identification, classification and computation of quality costs, including selection of improvement projects. The system can be used not only for observing the current state of cost elements related to quality, but also for planning an improvement strategy using the ratio of cost classification.

Purpose: This study is addressing the establishment of the knowledge information system supplying the quality management of weapon system. It is going to support the continuous quality management through the linkages and integration between the product structure and the quality information. Methods: The interrelated relationship of the product structure information and quality information of weapon system would be expressed explicitly by taking advantage of the ontology concept. The quality information of distributed systems would be integrated through the SOA(Service Oriented Architecture)-based Web services. After defining the inference rules, which could be utilized in the quality management, in the constructed knowledge information system, the quality information would be inferred through the queries. Results: By building the integrated quality information knowledge system through the ontology and SOA, the connectivity between the product structures and dispersed quality information was enhanced. The utility and applicability of this study were checked up through the inferences on the products and quality information by using the information built by the semantic relationship of facts. Conclusion: We established the knowledge and information system as a systematic approach to support the quality management of weapon system. This is not affected by the organizations and systems, and it seems that it could be utilized across the quality management as the efficient knowledge sharing architecture support-ing the quality management of weapon systems in the aspect of the product integration.

Purpose: Two-stage □ chart is a useful tool for process control when a surrogate variable may be used together with a performance variable. This paper extends the two-stage □ chart to a three stage version by decomposing the first stage into the preliminary stage and the main stage. Methods: The expected cost function is derived using Markov-chain approach. The optimal designs are found for numerical examples using a genetic algorithm combined with a pattern search algorithm and compared to those of the two-stage □ chart. Sensitivity analysis is performed to see the parameter effects. Results: The proposed design outperforms the optimal design of the two-stage  chart in terms of the expected cost per unit time unless the correlation between the performance and surrogate variables is modest and the shift in process mean is smallish. Conclusion: Three-stage □ chart may be a useful alternative to the two-stage □ chart especially when the correlation between the performance and surrogate variables is relatively high and the shift in process mean is on the small side.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the efficiency and productivity of the quality by integrating the product quality and service quality of global automobile brands from the customer`s perspective. Methods: In this study, the data from JD Power and GoodCarBadCar.net were used to analyze the efficiency and productivity of a total of 24 automobile brands (10 luxury brands and 14 mainstream brands) between 2009 and 2013. For this, DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) and MPI (Malmquist Productivity Index) were used. Results: The mean efficiency of the quality of global automobile brands were 0.725 for luxury brands and 0.587 for mainstream brands, which suggests generally higher efficiency for luxury brands. The productivity of the quality of global automobile brands increased by 16.1% for luxury brands while it decreased by 3.1% for mainstream brands. Conclusion: The study provides a theoretical implication in that it emphasized the efficiency of the quality viewed from the customer`s perspective, and investigated the quality of the product and that of service in an integrative manner. In addition, this study provides also a practical implication in that it suggests how to set the sales goal by the brand and how to manage according to the characteristics of the brand to the managers of automobile manufacturers.

Purpose: This paper developed the framework for extracting strategies of research and business development (R&BD) based on the data envelopment analysis(DEA). Methods: DEA has been widely utilized in evaluating R&D efficiency. Even though, technology transfer and commercialization has been regarded as the important factors for practical R&D efficiency evaluation, most research have evaluated R&D efficiency by just using the DEA outputs such as the number of patents and papers. The technology transfer, commercialization and relations among costs and generated technology and commercialization are needed to be considered for more practical R&D efficiency evaluation. Thus, this research addressed a method on how to incorporate the commercialization factors into the R&DB efficiency evaluation, and improve the efficiency strategically in terms of R&D and B&D. To achieve this, this research utilized a two-stage network DEA model for R&BD efficiency evaluation. Results: The proposed framework was applied to the 15 public research institutes and the 34 universities for validation. R&BD efficiency for the 15 public research institutes and the 34 universities was evaluated, and the differentiated improvement strategies for the inefficient DMUs to improve their efficient were proposed. Conclusion: The R&BD efficiency would be effectively analyzed based on two-stage network DEA. It would be utilized for the effective strategy planning for cultivating R&BD.

Purpose: The conjoint analyst in marketing are interested in detecting whether there exist synergy or antagonistic effects between two attributes. In the cases where attributes have two or three levels, we research on the design of survey questionnaire to estimate all the main effect and as many two factor interaction effects as possible. Methods: We consider the balanced incomplete block (BIB) mixed level factorial design 2f× 3g or fractional factorial design. To reduce the number of questions in a questionnaire, we propose the balanced incomplete block mixed level design with minimum aberration which is generated by implementing proc factex in SAS. Also, we propose using two or three level BIB factorial design instead of mixed level designs by transforming three level attributes into two attributes of two levels and two level attribute into three level attribute by using dummy level technique. Results: We propose three methods for designing survey questionnaire where the block and design generators are found with practical number of questions in a questionnaire. By analyzing all the respondents survey data generated by the simulation study, we find the proper model and do the concepts optimization. Conclusion: The proposed methods of designing survey questionnaires seem to perform well in the sense that the proper model, and then the optimal concept is found in a case study where all the respondents survey data are generated by the simulation study.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to assess the service quality attributes of Korean airlines service for Chinese passengers and suggest revised model to count potential improvement. Methods: Using the Kano and Timko models based on survey questionnaire to classify the quality attributes and to calculate the customer satisfaction index for each service attributes. And the revised potential customers satisfaction index(R-PCSI) are used to access the improvement possibilities by Kano model`s attributes. Results: The attributes by Kano model, the relative importance, and the priorities for improvement for 30 airline service quality characteristics are identified. The most important item for improvement is `Loses and delays compensations service`. Conclusion: According to the PCSI calculation results, this paper can help for Korean Airlines to improve customer satisfaction for Chinese passengers. And R-PCSI model suggested by this paper can be used for other service quality analysis.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the value of smart home service using contingent valuation method that is the method evaluating the value of service which will be provided in the future. Using this method, this study suggests proper price and market value of smart home service through figuring out customer`s willingness to pay. Methods: To estimate willingness to pay for smart home service, this study uses double bounded dichotomous choice question. The survey was conducted for 2 months from December in 2015 to February in 2016. A total of 269 copies were used to estimate through R-programming. Results: The results of this study are as follows; Gender(especially woman), income, proposed price are the factors which affecting willingness to pay. As the result of this study, average price of willingness to pay for smart home service estimates as \29,653. Comparing with high-speed internet bundling service fee, this estimated price for smart home service is appropriate level for customers to accept. Conclusion: This study estimates consumer`s willingness to pay for smart home service which is in the market entry stage. In corporate side, this study might be meaningful for estimating investment scale and profit. Also it could provide basis for establishing strategic policy to develop smart home service market in government side.

Purpose: This research is to find the general and somewhat prevailing problems in quality circle papers. Many quality circles try to benchmark awarded papers even though they may have common problems. By pointing out popular problems in papers, many quality circles hopefully could be guided to the right direction in working out improvement actions. Methods: Many papers awarded in national quality circle conferences are deeply analyzed to figure out common problems. 69 recent papers are analyzed step by step and the most important and frequently occurring problems in each step are indicated. Results: Many prevailing problems are found in each step of QC stories. Especially finding themes, Grasping status quo, Cause analysis, Setting targets, Development of and Implementing counter attacks are the most common areas that have problems. Conclusion: Some problems are already too popular to be recognized as problems. In this paper those problems are logically criticized and thereby right directions for future quality circle activities are proposed.

Purpose: Evaluation of the creativity level of design concepts. Methods: 14 winners of design concepts area of the 2015 Red dot Award are used to evaluate the creativity level of design concepts. Among the 14 winners, one is the highest award (; luminary) winner, 4 are the second highest award(; best of the best) winners, and the remaining 9 are winners. AHP model was developed to evaluate the creativity levels of design concepts, and applied to the 14 winners of the reddot award. Results: Originality and practicality have been used to evaluate creativity level of new product ideas in the previous study. In this study, it is identified that originality is composed of innovativeness and topicality, and practicality is composed of utility and realizability. The design concepts which won higher level awards have higher level of originality. Among the two dimensions of originality, topicality has more significant relationship than innovativeness. Conclusion: The design concepts with higher level of originality, especially higher level of topicality, have a fair chance to be recognized as creative. It is notable that higher level of originality does not guarantee higher profit. According to the previous studies on the commercial success of new products, practicality is more important than originality.
