본 연구는 실태조사를 바탕으로 다문화가정 여성 학습자의 요구 사항을 반영하여 가정 밖 담화상황을 쇼핑 장소, 병원, 자녀의 교육기관으로 나누어 학습단계별로 화용교육의 학습 내용을 다룬다. 쇼핑 장소의 담화상황은 물건을 구매, 교환, 환불하는 내용으로 구성하고, 병원의 담화상황은 진료, 입원, 수술, 간병하는 내용으로 구성하며, 교육기관의 담화상황은 어린이집을 알아보러 간 상황, 유치원 학부모회에 참석한 상황, 초등학교 담임선생님과 상담하는 내용으로 구성한다. 화용교육의 핵심 내용은 담화상황 관련 어휘장 학습, 준말 구어표현 학습, 연어나 관용구절 등의 고정 결합구성 학습, 담화상황별 고정 화용표현 학습, 공손한 요청 또는 거절표현에 대한 학습이다. 이러한 학습 내용을 담은 담화모형으로 인지도를 조사한 결과 초급은 다문화가정 학습자가 일반학습자에 비해서 떨어지지만, 중급이 되면서 실력이 많이 향상되고 고급이 되면 두 그룹이 비슷해지는 양상을 보였다. 학습단계별로 보면, 다문화가정 초급 학습자들은 공손표현, 중급은 고정결합구성, 고급은 병원 어휘장 및 공손표현에 대한 인지도가 낮아 이에 대한 중점학습이 필요하다고 하겠다.
The present study, by reflecting multi-cultural family learners’ demands based on actual conditions surveys, deals with the learning contents of pragmatic education in each stage of learning, by dividing discourse situations outside the home into those involving shopping, hospitals, and child educational institutions. The discourse situation of the shopping area is composed of content involving the purchase, exchange, and refund of goods; the discourse situation of the hospital is composed of content involving treatment, hospitalization, surgery, and nursing; and the discourse situation of the education institute is composed of content involving an inquiry into a daycare center, participation in a preschool parents association and a consultation with an elementary school homeroom teacher. The core content of the pragmatic education includes learning lexical fields related to the discourse situation, abbreviated colloquial expressions, fixed combined constructions including collocations and idiomatic phrases, fixed pragmatic expressions in each discourse situation, polite request expressions and refusal expressions. Research into their awareness by using a discourse model containing such learning contents revealed that multi-cultural family learners fell behind ordinary leaners at the beginning level but much improved their skills when they arrived at the intermediate level, with both groups displaying similar aspects at the advanced level. In respect to learning levels, beginners require a focus on polite expressions; intermediate learners, a focus on fixed combined constructions; and advanced learners, the lexical field in hospital situations and polite expressions.
