본 연구에서는 가구방문조사에서 무시할 수 없는 무응답에 의한 편향을 보정하기 위해 조사과정에서 표본 접촉을 위해 투여된 노력수준과 관련된 파라데이터를 기반으로 한 재조사모형과 모형의 모수추정방법을 다루고 있다. Biemer et al.(2013)이 제시한 가구방문조사에서 파라데이터를 활용한 재조사모형을 중심으로 기존 연구결과들을 정리하였으며, 사례분석에 사용한2011-2012년 우리나라 국제성인역량조사(PIAAC)를 수행하는 과정에서 수집한 파라데이터 현황과 특징을 소개하였다. 사례분석의 결과 파라데이터를 이용해 재조사모형을 적용하는 경우 무응답 편향을 줄이는 데 효과적이라는 결론을 내릴 수 있었다.

We consider the use of level-of-effort(LOE) paradata to model the nonresponse mechanism in survey and to adjust for non-ignorable nonresponse bias. Also we review the call-back model for household interview surveys and unconditional maximum likelihood estimation procedure that was proposed by Biemer et al.(2013). The nonresponse adjust method are then applied and evaluated for a large scale field survey－The Survey on Program for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies(PIAAC). We found that the call-back model based on LOE paradata was effective to reduce the nonresponse bias.
