본 연구는 한, 중, 일 창호 문양 비교 분석 기반 전통창호의 현대한옥 적용에 관한 연구이다. 창호 문양은 문화의 정체성을 나타내는 디자인 요소이다. 그렇기 때문에 창호의 문양을 적절하게 사용하는 것은 중요하다. 그러나 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고 창호 문양에 대한 체계적인 연구가 미흡하게 다루어져 왔다. 한국의 정체성을 강화시키기 위한 방안으로 한, 중, 일 비교분석을 하는 것은 매우 필요한 작업이다. 본 연구에서는 한, 중, 일의 문양의 종류를 설명하고 있다. 또 한, 중, 일 문양의 종류에 대한 비교 분석을 통해 한, 중, 일 창호의 공통점과 차이점을 도출 했다. 마지막으로 도출된 연구 결과를 토대로 본 논문에서 제시한 전통 창호의 현대한옥 적용방안은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 단순한 문양을 사용을 통한 모듈화된 창호는 공장 생산을 통해 현장 조립방식으로 제작 단가를 내리고 공기를 단축시켜 경제적 효과를 제공한다. 둘째, 한지와 목재의 전통재료가 아닌 다양한 재료를 차용하며 시스템 창호 개발을 통해 기밀성과 단열성을 확보시킨다. 셋째, 현대의 건축물과 인테리어에 어울릴 수 있는 문양을 개발함으로써 주거 공간 뿐 아니라 상업 공간과 다른 공간에서도 적극 활용할 수 있도록 한다.

This study is for the application of the traditional window pattern based on comparative window between Korea, China, and Japan. Window pattern is a design element that represents cultural identities. Despite the fact that window patterns are important, the study of window pattern has been insufficient. Comparing patterns between Korea, China and Japan reinforces the Korean identity and it is necessary to investigate the matter. This paper describes the pattern types of the three countries that are mentioned. Moreover, the similarities and differences between those patterns were derived by comparison analysis. Based on the result of the analysis, the solutions for adapting the traditional window patterns to the modern Han-ok are as follows. Firstly, using modular patterns reduce construction period as well as production cost by mass production. Secondly, using various materials secure heat insulation property and air-permeability by developing system windows. Finally, It is expected that the patterns can be used for not only commercial but also residential space and others by inventing patterns, which can be both traditional and modern, that are adjusted to the modern architecture.
