Additive manufacturing(AM) can create complex shapes directly in 3D CAD models with internal geometry compared to conventional subtraction manufacturing. AM technology has the advantage of adopting various materials as well as the reduction of material. However, the high cost of AM is still a significant barrier preventing the wider adoption of AM in industries. This paper analyzes the technical application cases for solving these entry barriers and proposes a bi-metal 3D printing technology as an anticipated application to overcome the difficulty. The paper investigates the complications for current 3D metal printing technology to conduct bi-metal 3D printing and addresses ongoing solution research based on laser technology.

2Wireless Power Transfer for Electric Vehicles Charging Based on Hybrid Topology Switching With a Single Inverter

In wireless power transfer (WPT) system, the conventional compensation topologies only can provide a constant current (CC) or constant voltage (CV) output under their resonant conditions. It is difficult to meet the CC and CV hybrid charging requirements without any other schemes. In this study, a switching hybrid topology (SHT) is proposed for CC and CV electric vehicle (EV) battery charging. By utilizing an additional capacitor and two AC switches (ACSs), a double-side LCC (DS-LCC) and an inductor and double capacitors-series (LCC-S) topologies are combined. According to the specified CC and CV charging profile, the CC and CV charging modes can be flexibly converted by the two additional ACSs. In addition, zero phase angle (ZPA) also can be achieved in both charging modes. In this method, because the operating frequency is fixed, without using PWM control, and only a small number of devices are added, it has the benefits of low-cost, easy-controllability and high efficiency. A 3.3-kW experimental prototype is configured to verify the proposed switching hybrid charger. The maximum DC efficiencies (at 3.3-kW) of the proposed SHT is 92.58%.

Tracking micro-sized insects is one of the challenges of protecting ecosystems and biodiversity. In this study, we propose an approach for the autonomous tracking of micro-sized flying insects, and develop an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-based robotic system. The Kalman filter is applied to the received signal strength emitted from radio telemetry to estimate the position while reducing the measurement error and noise. The autonomous tracking strategy is a method in which the UAV rotates at one point to measure the signal strength and control its position in the strongest direction of the signal. We also design a system architecture comprising a tracking sensor system and a UAV system for micro-sized insects. The estimation and autonomous tracking of the target position by the proposed system are verified and evaluated through dynamic simulation. Therefore, in this study, we propose and validate a UAV-based tracking system for micro-sized flying insects, which has not been proposed in studies conducted thus far.

In order to satisfy the voltage levels of the low voltage battery side and high voltage DC bus, a high voltage gain with bidirectional operation is required. In this system, the cost effectiveness of the design is a critical factor; therefore, the system should be designed using a small number of components. This paper propose a novel bidirectional converter composed with a quasi-sepic and switched-indictor network. The proposed converter consists a small number of components with a high voltage gain ratio. Detailed analysis are made with respect to the operating mode, number of components, voltage and current ripple and efficiency. To verify performance of the proposed converter, simulation was performed is this paper. The simulation results are shown to verify the feasibility and performance of the proposed bidirectional converter.

We describe a new approach to implement of trajectory control and track record of articulated manipulator based on monitoring simulator for smart factory. The learning control algorithm was applied in implementation real-time control to provide enhanced motion control performance for robotic manipulators.
The proposed control scheme is simple in structure, fast in computation, and suitable for real-time control. Moreover, this scheme does not require any accurate dynamic modeling, or values of manipulator parameters and payload. Performance of the proposed controller is illustrated by simulation and experimental results for robot manipulator consisting of six joints at the joint space and Cartesian space.by monitoring simulator.

The condition of tire tread is a key parameter closely related to the driving safety of a vehicle, which affects the contact force of the tire for braking, accelerating and cornering. The major factor influencing the contact force is tread wear, and the more tire tread wears out, the higher risk of losing control of a vehicle exits. The tire tread condition is generally checked by visual inspection that can be easily forgotten. In this paper, we propose the intelligent tire (iTire) system that consists of an acceleration sensor, a wireless signal transmission unit and a tread classifier. In addition, we also presents classification algorithm that transforms the acceleration signal into the frequency domain and extracts the features of several frequency bands as inputs to an artificial neural network. The artificial neural network for classifying tire wear was designed with an Multiple Layer Perceptron (MLP) model. Experiments showed that tread wear classification accuracy was over 80%.

In Korea, due to the rapid increase in population due to industrialization, rivers were developed and managed with a focus on the completion and dimension of rivers. Due to the rapid increase in river use, there are so many river facilities indiscriminately that the administrative and management tasks are complicated and diversified in computerizing facilities and hydrologic data. Many methods have been proposed to solve this problem, but many problems exist. Among them, water has the same spectral characteristics, so it is difficult to subdivide into rivers, reservoirs, and dams. Therefore, this study subdivided the water system using supervised classification and GIS in order to efficiently manage the water resources by classifying the water system with the same spectral characteristics. In order to analyze the accuracy of the results, the accuracy of the objects classified using land cover map provided by environmental spatial information service was evaluated, and the result was an average of 91.75%, with 97.50% of rivers, 87.76% of reservoirs, and 90.00% of others.

As production, distribution, consumption and processing increase with the development of industrial societies, the importance of resource depletion and environmental problems is increasing day by day. This has led to increased research and interest in remanufacturing that can satisfy both environmental and economic aspects. Currently, the remanufacturing industry is progressed in Korea with automobile parts with as the central figure, and it needs to be expanded into various areas. In this study, the failure type analysis and FMEA were performed on the hydraulic pumps used in construction and industrial sites for the development of the standard remanufacturing process plan, and the actual disassembly and reassembly process was carried out. Remanufacturing products were manufactured through the analysis contents and drawing process, performance tests were conducted in accordance with RS B1501 criteria to evaluate performance, and all of these products passed the test criteria.

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of synchronous induction programs on new fire-training students' grits and learning outcomes. The research target selected 108 new firefighters from Fire & Marine School. 108 is composed of 54 experimental and control groups and isexecuted once a week, 60 minutes per session, and 10 sessions of synchronous inducement program.The research tools used grids to conduct pre- and post-test, and the mid-term and final-term tests were compared and analyzed. The data analysis was conducted using the SPS 22.0 program.The results showed that the motivational program showed statistically significant differences in the grids and had a significant impacton the final exam results of new firefighters. So, you have a passion for long-term goals and a passion for long-term goals. Research will need to be conducted continuously to raise the level of effort and provide fire-fighting school programs that can help with academic achievement.

These days, many different types of valves are developed in the industrial area according to their use purpose. Multiple kinds of valves are installed to control a flow and pressure of the pipe conveying fluid. Valves serve as critical roles in land plants such as power plants. The performance of equipment varies depending on valve characteristics. In this study, the internal flow analysis on Cone-type valve is conducted to analyze flow field and secure a value of the flow coefficient Cv. According to the internal flow analysis, when the flow distribution of the middle cross-section of valve was open 100%, flow field was relatively and smoothly taken out. If it was open 50%, flow recirculation region increased and a little complex flow field occurred. Unlike ball valve or butterfly valve, this valve had flow recirculation in its outlet depending on a valve opening amount. Therefore, it was found that there was no flow recirculation in the outlet of Cone-type valve.
