Since the announcement of President Klaus Schwab's fourth industrial revolution at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland in January 2016, the fourth industrial revolution has emerged as a hot topic in our society. The United States, Japan, China, and Germany, which are major advanced nations, are preparing and implementing a strategy and system for responding to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, focusing on information and communication technology (ICT) and manufacturing convergence in response to the fourth industrial revolution era. Korea is announcing the expansion of financial support for R & D investment budget and related industries for major technology related to revolution. In this paper, we analyze the defense R & D project procedure of the Defense Improvement Project, which is responsible for the development of the defense weapon system, and present the development direction of the defense weapon system in accordance with the 4th world industrial revolution trend.

Although the localization rate of shipbuilding and marine equipment goods is set to be 70 percent by 2020, but the localization rate of equipment and materials for shipbuilding and marine facilities is currently 10 to 30 percent. For Korea's Big 3 shipbuilders, which build 70 percent of the world's largest shipbuilders, localization of shipbuilding equipment and equipment is an essential factor. In particular, there is a growing need to localize equipment and materials in terms of the number of lead standards and A/S. It is expected that there will be a rapid expansion of LNG carriers in the future, and it is necessary to develop equipment and equipment materials of LNG ships. In this study, the design and manufacture of LNG vessel equipment was conducted. Design and basic performance tests of 4-inch QCDC for LNG bunkering were conducted.

This research deals with posture optimization for humanoid robot against external forces using genetic algorithm and neural network. When the robot takes a motion to push an object, the torque of each joint is generated by reaction force at the palm. This study aims to optimize the posture of the humanoid robot that will change this torque. This study finds an optimized posture using a genetic algorithm such that torques are evenly distributed over the all joints. Then, a number of different optimized postures are generated from various the reaction forces at the palm. The data is to be used as training data of MLP(Multi-Layer Perceptron) neural network with BP(Back Propagation) learning algorithm. Humanoid robot can find the optimal posture at different reaction forces in real time using the trained neural network include non-training data.

Safety and welfare of forestry is very poor because of poor working environment, decreasing workforce and budget, and aging. These have brought many accidents and casualties. The accident rate in the field of forestry were about 2.83 times higher than average of an entire industry and mortality rate were 1.84 times higher than it. The most reason among the mortality accident was caught in, under or between objects and struck by objects. In analysis of 60 serious accident cases, the number of occurrence s of caught in, under or between objects and struck by objects were the highest. We suggest education, engineering, environment, and enforcement methods which is first aid education and emergency response system, equipment of combined IoT technologies and sensors, and certification and career program on the basis of the results.

Most titanium alloy waste with cutting oil was discarded without recycling process so that it can be caused by metal and oil fires. However, there is no fire management system and studies on the titanium or titanium alloy waste in spite of high fire risk. The purpose of this experimental study is to identify the fire risk of the titanium alloy waste with cutting oil. We collected the 120g waste which was made in the biomedical titanium alloy cutting process. The waste was burned and conducted thermal image analysis with infrared camera. The experimental results which illustrated the process, characteristics, and trends of fire are presented. Firstly, the cutting oil was burned and partially the titanium alloy waste was burned. The maximum temperature of the fire was more than 650℃ in some specific spots. These results means when a lot of titanium alloy waste with cutting oil was ignited, this fire could connect the titanium fire. In other words, the fire has a flammable liquid fire and combustible metal fire at the same time. The experimental study could be used fire prevention, response, and investigation of the titanium alloy waste.

This study was conducted to identify the using self-nail products for the purpose of developing indicators to respond to changes in nail industry due to the evolution of consumption patterns caused by the spread of self-nail culture. The final analysis of 293 survey was conducted on female adults living in South Gyeongsang Province from September 1, 2018 to October 30, 2018. The study found that women in their 20s were more interested in nail care than in most cases. The main route of obtaining nail-related product information was the higher the use of SNS as the age was younger(χ2=185.048,p<.001). According to a survey of 165 people who have experience with self-nail products, 53.3 percent of 'paste stickers' were the most common, followed by 39.4 percent of 'paste nail tips' and 7.3 percent of 'home care products'. Looking at the disadvantages of self-nail products, between groups under their 50s and over 50s group saw a significant difference(χ2=27.032, p=.008). For those in their 50s or younger, 'the inconvenience of daily life' was considered a disadvantage. On the other hand, people in their 50s and older considered 'short duration' as a disadvantage. The lower the age, the higher the willingness to use continuously(χ2=14.308, p=.006).We found that there were differences in preference for self-nail products according to age. It was noticed that there were differences in satisfaction and persistence. This suggests the need for more specific follow-up studies on the use of self-nail products by age group. Therefore, this research aims to present basic data for the development of direction and custom program for the professional nail industry to advance, thus providing basic data to help the development of nail industry in South Gyeongsang Province.

In recent years, the digital transformation age represented by the "Fourth Industrial Revolution", which is a universalization of digitalization across all industries, has become a reality. In the construction sector in 2018, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport established the Smart Construction 2025 vision and established the 'Smart Construction Technology Roadmap' aiming to complete construction automation by 2030. Especially, in the construction stage, field monitoring technology using drones is needed to support construction equipment automation and on-site control, and a 3D geospatial information model can be utilized as a base tool for this. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting earthworks work in order to manage changes in site conditions and improve communication between managers and workers in the earthworks plan, which has a considerable part in terms of construction time and cost as a single type of work. Based on this, field management procedures and applications were developed.

This study proposed a new technique to control of mobile robot based on voice command for (Human-Robot Cooperative operation in manufacturing precess). High performance voice recognition and control system was designed In this paper for smart factory. robust voice recognition is essential for a robot to communicate with people. One of the main problems with voice recognition robots is that robots inevitably effects real environment including with noises. The noise is captured with strong power by the microphones, because the noise sources are closed to the microphones. The signal-to-noise ratio of input voice becomes quite low. However, it is possible to estimate the noise by using information on the robot's own motions and postures, because a type of motion/gesture produces almost the same pattern of noise every time it is performed. In this paper, we describe an robust voice recognition system which can robustly recognize voice by adults and students in noisy environments. It is illustrated by experiments the voice recognition performance of mobile robot placed in a real noisy environment.

Recently as flat display panels are getting narrower, TV wall mounts also become slimmer for interior design issue. In this study CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) was used for TV wall mount to satisfy slim arm design along with enough strength and low weight. The 16 staking sequences was made with orthogonal array to reduce experimental cases. Strength analysis of the TV wall mount arm made of CFRP laminate was studied on condition of staking sequences using FEA(Finite Element Analysis) and stiffness and strength of those cases were evaluated using deflection and Tsai-Wu's Failure criterion. The result showed that [-45°/90°/45°/0°/-45°] lay up case was suitable for the wall mount arm staking design from the criteria of deflection and Tsai-Wu's Failure Index.

Recently, increases in major disasters such as fires, earthquakes and typhoons have raised public expectations for safety. In addition to this increase in expectations of safety, the government continues to push for more manpower and better treatment for firefighters who are operating in the disaster scene. Despite the improvement of working conditions and increased welfare for firefighters, however, the incidence and turnover of various mental diseases continues to increase. It is reported that many of the diseases such as post-traumatic stress disorder and the turnover of firefighters are due to a mismatch in individual's personality and work environment. In this study, 108 firefighters were evaluated for their vocational aptitude in the new curriculum. Based on the analysis results, new firefighters were proposed to provide employment and education training improvements, and to provide job security suitable for the individual's personality type through the introduction of the vocational aptitude test for firefighters who are working in the fire service. In addition, we would like to use the vocational aptitude test as a material for reducing post-traumatic stress disorder and increasing turnover through long-term tracking and observation, rather than from a one-off perspective.
