1아동의 그릿, 자아존중감, 삶의 만족도 간의 구조적 관계 분석

This study examined the structural relationship among children's grit, self-esteem, and life satisfaction. We analyzed the data of 2,607 4th graders (1,313 males and 1,294 females) from the 2018 Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS). A structural equation model was used to verify the model, and a bootstrap approach was used to assess the mediating effect of self-esteem. As a result of the study, first, we found that grit had a direct effect on self-esteem. Second, we found that self-esteem had a direct effect on life satisfaction. Third, we found that grit had a direct effect on life satisfaction. Fourth, self-esteem mediated the effect of grit on life satisfaction. This study is meaningful because it helps in understanding the factors that predict children's life satisfaction.

The purpose of this study was to identify the factors that influence adolescents' academic engagement and the structural relationship between these factors. For this, I analyzed the data from the 2018 Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS). The subjects were 2,590 first-year middle schools students from across the nation. I analyzed this data using the structural equation model, and the results were: First, participation in activities, self-esteem, and creative personality were all factors influencing academic engagement. Second, the magnitude of the influence among these three factors was in the order of self-esteem, creative personality, and participation activity. Third, there were four paths that affected the academic engagement in the youth's participation activities. The first path was 'activity participation leads to academic engagement', the second path was 'activity participation leads to self-esteem then leads to academic engagement', the third path was 'activity participation leads to creative personalit then leads to academic engagement', the fourth path was 'activity participation leads to self-esteem then leads to creative personality then leads to academic engagement'. That such a variety of pathways were possible shows that adolescents could have various points of contact in order to increase their academic engagement. Based on these results, I made suggestions for youth welfare practice.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of personal, family, and community social capital on the multicultural acceptability of delinquent youth. Using the 4th wave data from the first year of middle school panel of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS), we conducted multilevel model analysis on 704 youths with on-line and off-line delinquent experience. The results were : First, the results of the null model analysis showed that 93.7% of the differences in multicultural acceptability were because of personal and family factors, while 6.3% were because of regional factors. Second, our examination of the effects of personal and family social capital showed that higher reasonable explanation, parenting attitude, better relationship with peers, and higher satisfaction of experiential activities led to higher multicultural acceptability. Third, our examination of the effects of community social capital showed that higher multicultural acceptability led to a higher sense of community. However, we did not find a link between multicultural acceptability and perception of the community. Based on our results, we propsed practical and political suggestions to improve the multicultural acceptability of delinquent youth through social capital.

The purposes of this study was to examine the mediating effect of children's sense of community on the relationship between mobile phone dependence and children's self regulated learning. Prior studies related to self-regulated learning mainly verified the influence of parent-related variables, and studies related to social support such as community variables were insufficient. For this study we used 6th grade children' data from Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 6th year(N = 1,877) conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute. The analysis method used was Structural Equation Modeling by using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0. We used structural equation modeling analysis to test significant meditating effects. The results showed that children's sense of community partially mediated mobile phone dependence and children's self regulated learning. To be specific, children's mobile phone dependence directly and indirectly influenced children's self regulated learning through sense of community. In conclusion, this study revealed the influence of children's mobile phone dependence on children's self-regulated learning and the mediating effect of children's sense of community. Based on these findings, we suggested that carers make efforts to provide children with a child-friendly local environment, as awareness of the community has a significant influence on the psychological domain of children.

This study identifies differences in perceptions between the childcare center director and childcare teacher on the forest experience program, and to provide basic data needed to plan policies related to the forest experience through surveys and in-depth interviews. The research results were: First, regarding the forest experience management method, there was no significant difference between the director's perception and the teacher's in the important factors for selecting the forest experience venue, the most appropriate age for the forest experience, and the qualities of the forest experience teacher. However, there was a significant difference in the perception between the director and the teacher regarding the proper ratio of teachers to children in the forest experience, the forest experience method, and the perception of the person in charge of the forest experience. Second, there was no significant difference in the perception of difficulties when operating the forest experience, but there was a significant difference between the director and the teacher in their perception of the support required during the forest experience. In the discussion, we suggested a plan to reduce the differences between the director's perception and the teacher's about the forest experience management method and level of support.

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of mothers' parenting behavior and communication on their children's media device addiction and the effect of moderating peer attachment. The subjects were from the Panel Study on Korean Children (PSKC), and we performed data analysis on 578 subjects, and employed SPSS 25.0 to conduct frequency, percentage, and reliability analysis. For each of the study questions, we conducted correlation analysis, simple regression analysis, and stepwise regression analysis. The results were: First, there was a positive correlation between the mothers' parenting behavior and their children's media device addiction. And there was a negative correlation between media device addiction as perceived by mothers, communication, and peer attachment. Second, we showed that the mothers' parenting behavior was a factor affecting their children's media device addiction. Third, we showed that the mothers' communication was also a factor affecting their children's media device addiction. Last, the effect of the mothers' parenting behavior and communication regarding their children's media device addiction showed a moderating effect of peer attachment.
