In the 21stcentury, the world is undergoing a civilization crisis. Modern civilization, especially Korean society, is facing many challenges. For a long time, human nature, identity, and self-consciousness have been lost. Thus, it requires to seek the identity of the East Asia and the Koreans. It is necessary to discover an organic worldview and to establish a model for new civilization. The author has suggested a few theories; 'East-Asian Mediterranean Sea', a theory of 'Land-Sea civilization' and a theory of 'Non-civilization'.
The world of East-Asian is the East Asian Mediterranean Sea, which consists of oceans and land through an organic system, is a diverse civilization area where various natural environments and cultures are mixed. In other words, cross-cultural relationships of characteristics of agricultural ways (stability) and those of nomadic ways (mobility) constituted a mutual reciprocity system.
It was also composed of a kind of 'Circulation system' which refers to the interaction between cultures and countries. In addition, the non-civilization theory, which was proposed as an alternative to a new civilization, is not an anti-civilization. In this theory, 'Non' refers to a meaning that it should be able to criticize and accept two different civilizations.
In other words, it is a 'Third civilization' between a large, competitive and organized civilization and a small, natural and symbiotic anti-civilization. These 'Proto identity' and model of 'Non-civilization' of the Korean people can be found in the ancient history of the Korean people in time and in the remote parts of the Eurasian world in space.

The human body is central to how we understand facets of identity such as gender, sexuality, race, and ethnicity. People alter their bodies, hair, and clothing to align with or rebel against social conventions and to express messages to others around them. Many artists explore gender through representations of the body and by using their own bodies in their creative process.
The 1960s and 1970s were a time of social upheavals in the United States and Europe, significant among them the fight for equality for women with regards to sexuality, reproductive rights, the family, and the workplace. Artists and art historians began to investigate how images in Western art and the media-more often than not produced by men -perpetuated idealizations of the female form. Feminist artists reclaimed the female body and depicted it through a variety of lenses.
Around this time, the body took on another important role as a medium with which artists created their work. In performance art, a term coined in the early 1960s as the genre was starting to take hold, the actions an artist performs are central to the work of art. For many artists, using their bodies in performances became a way to both claim control over their own bodies and to question issues of gender.

This paper presents an investigation into the erotic trilogy of Lee Hyo-seok, who reflected on the love and lust issues most actively of the writers in the 1930s. The trilogy includes three novels titled Juriya, Pollen, and The Boundless Blue Sky. Lee depicted unity with nature, primitive instincts, and force of life in his early short stories. Starting with Juriya, the writer dealt with women's sex and love in an experimental and progressive manner. The novel depicts a country's girl entry into Seoul, where she becomes a modern person, ideologist, and adult and changes her name from Kim Yeong-ae to Juriya. She imitates the heroine of Kollontai's Red Love and turns herself from an awkward Marxist to a romanticist. She has conflicts between the object of her respect and that of her carnal desire, and her sexual contemplation reflects the conflict of modern people. Based on infinite sexual imagination, myths, and the Bible, his Pollen depicts violent and unconventional sexual aberrations. Making an inquiry into modernity through power and capital issues along with the complex and ambivalent sexuality of modern people, the author dissects human sexual desire in full scale including appearances, physical attraction, and social classes working between man and woman. Compared with Salome created by Oscar Wilde, Mi-ran goes through three men, Hyeonma, Danju and Yeonghun until returning back to art. This setting is based on Oscarism oriented toward aestheticism and the art-for-art principle. Written in his later years, The Boundless Blue Sky reflects multicultural and cosmopolitan ideas. The protagonist obtains love from a Russian lady called 나아자 and contributes to the foundation of the Nokseong Music Academy led by a group of women, thus showing his aesthetics leading to sexuality, good looks, and art and art-for-art principle putting an emphasis on 심미역. The erotic trilogy of Lee, who expressed the psychology and desire of modern people actively based on the topics of sex and romantic love as part of modern thinking, describes how capital, sexuality, and power work in a modern society and thus holds contemporary significance. In Lee's sex and love, nationality, gender, and age are the objects of transcendence or disregard. The sexuality of a capitalist modern society is found money, appearances, and social classes in the end. In the middle of the trend to assess the value of a literary work based on the awareness of reality and social consciousness, Lee's novels maintained the art-for-art principle and kept their literary value.
