This study set out to investigate masters of portrait photography including August Sander, who took only portrait pictures of the entire German people and tried to figure out the human character in the huge social structure, Felix Nadar, who showed what oil portraits achieved with photography based on his unique sense, and Yousuf Karsh, who put an emphasis on the inner expressions of people and locational relations between the face and hands and thus made sharpness and black & white prominent clearly in his works. The present study presented the investigator's works consisting of typical photographs in the ways that he planned and worked for two years. There were total 15 works expressing the periodic backgrounds of jazz musicians in the 19th century in modern portrait photography. In the investigator's portrait photography, freedom of expression was oriented toward the performance and communication with the world of the jazz artists, which means that the expression of their facial expressions during their performance makes a piece of art for the photographer and jazz artists and is the starting point of portrait photography as a creation for jazz artists.

This study is about a German artist Thomas Demand's work who spreads beyond all boundaries between reality and illusion through photography. The object that Demand takes a photo is a cardboard model handcrafted by him. It exists as simulacre. He does work overthrowing reality by making a virtual space with the cardboard model as the same as a real space. Demand's work can be characterized by dehistoricization. Because He removed all the indexes connoting that the spaces from collected images were actually existed. With the focus on Demand's dehistoricized work, this study examines images made with social recognition system that Demand overthrows. He adopted a labor intensive process against deskilling in photography in order to expose myths of photography about realism. He determines that the reality of photography is not real because the images in photography are composed by artist's recognition system. This study derives historical meaning of Demand's work from examining works that overthrow substances in reality.

One of the key characteristics of the photography is that it represents the real world as it is. When we see the object in the images, we believe that we realize the essence of the object. However, this property, the clarity of photograph image, interrupts to interpret the meaning of the images in a various ways. In this study, I aim to escape from the sign of the real object then make new meaning of images by cutting a portion of the object or expanding the object. Choosing the part of an object makes viewers to get rid of the existing meaning or fixed idea and only its colors, shapes, and atmosphere are left. This method allow us to meet a new way to interpret the image differently compared to its existing meaning. Through this method, I reveal the image of Modern times that is alienated and isolated. I describe how plastic photography has developed and introduce the artists and works that are used an essential part of plastic art, action and rhythm, space and direction. Also, I study how the works emphasized formative beauty can reveal the new meaning of the image and how it communicates with a new sign. Lastly, various works motivated by aforementioned techniques and concepts are demonstrated.

The Korean TV reality show "Youn's Canteen" and the Chinese version of" Chinese Restaurant" are all popular "slow variety" reality shows in 2018. "Slow Variety" reality show is different from the traditional competitive reality show. It has the characteristics of emotional expression and audio-visual language presentation. "Slow Variety" is the expression of "Slow Life" in contemporary society. To a certain extent, the "Slow Life" has become the mainstream. The "Slow Variety" shows the characteristics of "Slow Walk, Appreciate" from form to content. Although the nature of slow variety shows in China and Korea is the same, there are differences in program theme: element design, audio-visual language and value output. Because Korean TV producers have a unique understanding and application of slow variety show," Youn's Canteen" can grasp the essence of "slow variety" show better than "Chinese Restaurant". China's reality show "slow variety show" has a long way to go on the road of imitation learning.

There is a lot of development going on for a drone, but it poses difficulties in controlling the aircraft and the risk of accidents that could occur in the event of a crash. This is noticeable during drone filming because the drone must operate the camera system in addition to the control. So, a device was developed to wear a goggle that provides video that is transmitted from a drone to a FPV and to make filming convenient. We looked for pros and cons of using drones when they were combined into a goggle. When filming, we compared differences from previous films using goggles. The comparison between video and photo shoots showed that the common advantages of taking pictures with a more immersive screen, and that wearing goggles for a long time was inconvenient. Rapid movement of the gimbal with goggle helped Framing in the picture, but in the video, it was more difficult to move the gimbal with goggle than with a controller. But users will use goggles more for drone filming than they do now because of the shooting at the FPV.

In the history of Korean photography, there were various related photography activities right after the introduction of the photography. Besides < Cheonyeondang Sajingwan >, there were many photographers of Korean who continued the history of photography at the same time. According to the records of the present day, the photographers of the Japanese who lived in Seoul were mainly in Chungmuro and Uljiro, called Namchon at that time, whereas the photographers of the Koreans operated in the area of Jongno, which is called Bukchon. The reason why Jiunyoung and Hwangcheol, the pioneers of the introduction of Korean photography, first opened a workroom or photo- studio in Bukchon is closely related to their jobs of Joseon government and social status at the time. Both had a residence in Bukchon near Gyeongbok Palace, a dense area of Joseon government offices, and opened a photo-studio here. This is why Bukchon was the starting point of Korean photography history. Between the 1900s and the 20s, there was no photo activity of our own, and it was known that photography and visual culture were led by Japanese photographers and their culture in Namchon which is a symbol of Japanese colonial rule. However, Korean photographers opened the photo-studios in Bukchon, which was a symbol and center of resistance to the Japanese imperialism, and developed a photographic culture. < Kyungseongsajinsahyuphoe > was an organization founded in 1926, centered on photographers operating in Bukchon. This paper is a study of the process and cultural historical achievements.
