This study analyzes the degree of contribution of income sources to the income inequality among farm households through the Shapley value decomposition of the Gini coefficient and suggests policy implications. Farm Household Economy Survey raw data from 2013 to 2017 are used for the analysis. As a result of mean equalized Shapley value decomposition, it would be effective to develop a policy that alleviates inequality in order of agricultural income, non-farm business income and sideline income if the government wants to reduce overall inequality in farm household income. On the other hand, as a result of zero Shapley value decomposition, it would be effective to develop a policy that mitigates the inequality in order of agricultural income, private subsidy and sideline income if the government wants to mitigate the contribution of each income source to inequality. Inequality of farm household income is basically a combination of various factors such as household population, environment, social, economic, and government policy factors. Therefore, the government needs to design farm household income inequality mitigation policy by income source through comprehensive consideration of these factors.

Because of the financialization of physical resources, the spread of food security awareness, the sharp increase in grain demand in emerging economies such as China, and bio-energy policies, world grain price formation mechanisms have become increasingly complex. This has increased the need to consider various factors related to the financial market, the global economic situation, and agricultural policies of major grain import and export countries as well as world grain supply and demand factors in the forecast of world grain prices. In order to consider these various and valuable information variables, we applied the dynamic factor model which is widely used to predict macroeconomic variables. We attempted several methods applying the dynamic factor model and concluded that the forecasting power improvement is close to 30 ~ 40% especially in mid-term prediction.

Agricultural water plays a significant role in terms of enhancing food self-sufficiency and food security. The supply of agricultural water based on the irrigation facilities contributes to improving agricultural productivity. The objective of this study is to explore both farmers' and non-farmers' perceptions and satisfactions about a government policy of improving irrigation facilities. Also, the paper investigates factors affecting their satisfaction about the government maintenance and management project of irrigation facilities. The results demonstrate that farmers, who insist the necessity of renovation of a reservoir located where they live in, are apt to be relatively dissatisfied with the government project. The magnitudes of marginal effects indicate that farmers' satisfaction living in an agricultural area is higher than that of non-farmers. Finally, it is shown that farmers with higher satisfaction toward a government undertaking of improving a reservoir tend to be satisfied with a government project of repairing an irrigation and drainage canal as well.

This study examines the determinants having an effect on the intentions to purchase Korean agro-food on the basis of the characteristics of the Vietnamese consumers and suggests the implications for the increase of exports to the Vietnamese market in the future. To this end, a questionnaire survey was conducted on the intention and preference of Korean fresh and processed agro-food to 600 Vietnamese consumers. Based on the survey results, the ordered logit model was utilized to analyze the determinants of purchasing Korean agro-food. The findings show that the importance of Vietnamese consumers' attributes influencing the willingness to purchase or repurchase was analyzed to be different between consumers who had bought Korean agro-food and those who had not, or between fresh and processed agro-food. Therefore, it is necessary to establish the differentiated strategies for consumers or agro-foods rather than the uniform strategies for the overall agro-food industry in order to target the Vietnamese consumer market.
