This study aims to consider the reason why the results of textlinguistic research have not been reflected in the area of Korean language education and to investigate the way to solve the problem. In order to achieve this purpose, we will examine how the concepts, scope, and the themes of textlinguistics have been applied to Korean language education from a reflective and a critical point of view. Attention to the subject of textlinguistic research is gradually growing, and there is a great deal of empathy for the necessity of the applying textlinguistics to the teaching Korean language. Despite this situation, there are still many problems in Korean language education research and the field. This is interpreted as an important cause of the fact that the results of textlinguistic research were not properly reflected even in Korean literacy education. Some microscopic grammatical approaches are reflected in Korean language education as well as in Korean literacy education one after another. Otherwise the achievements of textual linguistics, that is, the results of macroscopic research, are not reflected in Korean literacy education.

This study explored the possibility of political text-reading education as a Korean-language educational response to the fostering of the citizenship of learners, one of the main topics of education in the 21st century. The message communication characteristics of election bulletins were analyzed by dividing them into 'delivery of optimized models for personality', 'strategic persuasion through projection of expected values' and 'extending contact situations using intertext related to authority' with the aim of fostering community citizenship and expanding learners' interest in political participation into symbolic communication areas. The educational goals derived from the analysis are as follows. First, in the process of reading election bulletins, the truthfulness and sincerity judgment of a candidate's personal information should be emphasized. Second, the persuasion strategy used in election bulletins should be used as an opportunity to explore the political needs of the community surrounding such persuasion. Third, the understanding of intertexts used in election bulletins should be aimed at expanding the historical sense of the political landscape of the community.

The purpose of this paper is to see how text linguistic theories can be applied in the analysis and interpretation of texts, by surveying how the concept and theories of text linguistics have been applied in the field of Chinese linguistics and its adjacent academic fields.
There are three levels of text linguistics which have been studied in China for 40 years. The first step was the introduction of text linguistics in the 1980s. Text linguistics was introduced to China during this period, and has been studied mainlyintranslationandtheoryintroduction.Th esecondstage was the growth of text linguistics in the 1990s, and as the theory and system of text linguistics were organized in China, which developed its own research result that targeted Chinese text. The third stage was the study's maturity of text linguistics in the 2000s, varying methods and perspectives on how to study text. Through these steps, I will describe the trend that has developed into the study of text linguistics in China.

Der Beitrag beschäftigt sich aus textpragmatischer Sicht mit der kontrastiven Analyse von Paraphrasemen als explizite Signale der Reformulierungshandlungen in wissenschaftlichen Texten aus koreanischen und deutschen linguistischen Fachzeitschriften. Augenmerk richtet sich auf die sprachlichen Realisierungsaspekte der thematisierenden Paraphraseme.
In Bezug auf die Begriffsbestimmungen der 'Paraphraseme' werden die bisherigen Foschungstendenzen kritisch betrachtet und damit systematisch die sprachlichen Realisierungsaspekte der Paraphraseme beschrieben.
Zuerst werden theoretische Probleme beleuchtet, die sich auf die Meta-Ebene wissenschaftlicher Texte beziehen. Danach wird die Leistung der Paraphraseme als strukturelle, illokutive und interaktionale Indikatoren behandelt. Dann werden einige Paraphraseme als reformulierende Mechanismen exemplarisch diskutiert. Abschlie- ßend werden einige Anhaltspunkte herausgestellt, das sich auf den wissenschaftlichen bzw.interkulturellen Schreibunterricht anwenden lässt.

Narratives exists all around the world at all point in the history of humans. Everyone, regardless of race or class, is constantly exposed to stories and narrate throughout their lifetime. Narrating is considered a fundamental and universal act of humans. The aim of this article is to investigate the motives behind the emergence of narratives, and its evolution and establishment among humans.
In the first half of this study, we will discuss why stories began to be used during the hunting and gathering ages, and how it influenced humans to the extent that it became a fundamental and universal human activity. Narrative seems to have emerged during the prehistoric ages of mankind due to its unique and useful nature of being able to acquire, transfer, and store various informations for human survival and cooperation. Competent storytellers were revered and preferred in societies, for they brought more information, productivity and thus, success. With Narrative and humans mutually affect oneanother to the extent in which narratives seems to have developed into a fundamental communicative method among humans.
In the second half of this study, we will discuss why narratives are still favored in the present, even though there many other convenient modes of communication and it is no longer essential for human survival in the sense of hunting and gathering ages.
There are at least two reasons narrative is currently preferred among people: its simplicity and the various benefits it brings for the storyteller. Narratives are defined as 'the reconstruction of one's direct or indirect experiences'. This means that the subject of narration is always already known to the storyteller. Futhermore storyteller is able to subjectively change or alter the story. These make the practice of the narrating convenient to the teller. Narrating seems to be beneficial to the listener because the storyteller can share useful and valuable information. But narrating also carries many benefits to the teller. Firstly, storytelling provides an opportunity for the teller to restore mind balance disturbed by experiences of weird and surprising events. Secondly, storytelling enables the teller to sort and understand the confused experiences related to the story. Thirdly, the self identity that the storyteller aims to position can be ratified and confirmed by the listener throughout the narrating process.
These are the reasons why narratives are still fundamental and crucial to humans in the modern time.

On the basis of the features in language education articles, by using the CARS model of Swales(1990), the paper conducts a contrastive study on the rhetorical structure of introduction in Korean and Chinese language education articles. The study shows, Korean and Chinese introductions have some differences in both macro-and micro-structures. Korean introductions have more diversified and flexible move-step structures, especially more frequent adoption in Move 3. Chinese authors usually stress the importance of the current research and choose a variety of ways in Move 1. The results can provide pedagogical implications for Korean and Chinese academic writers to improve their introduction writing.
