1Ni/Ni3Al 단결정의 냉간압연 거동에 미치는 결정방위 및 석출물의 영향

In this study, thin foil fabrication using Ni/Ni3Al single crystal was performed by cold-rolling. It was found that the cold-rolling behavior was strongly dependent on the initial crystallographic orientation rather than morphology of Ni3Al precipitates. The deformation banding was formed in the case of (100)[001]- and (210)[001]- oriented specimens at 83% reduction in thickness. However, the effects of Ni3Al precipitates morphology on the microstructure evolution of Ni/Ni3Al single crystals during cold-rolling were not so serious comparing with the effects of initial crystallographic orientation. Therefore, it could be concluded that the deformation behavior of Ni/ Ni3Al single crystals at serious strain level was strongly dependent on the initial crystallographic orientation rather than the morphology of Ni3Al precipitates, whereas the initial deformation behavior was related to both crystallographic orientation and the morphology of Ni3Al precipitates.

Annealing effects on the properties of Bi-doped ZnO thin films were investigated. Bi- doped ZnO thin films were deposited on quartzs substrates at 300oC by using radio-frequency magnetron sputtering system. Post heat treatments at 600, 700, and 800oC were performed to evaluate the effect of annealing temperatures on the structural, optical, and electrical properties of Bi-doped ZnO thin films. FE-SEM images showed the dramatic surface morphology changes by rearrangement of elements at high heat treatment temperature of 800oC. X-ray diffraction analysis indicated that the peaks of the Bi-doped ZnO thin films were same as the peaks of the (002) planes of ZnO peak-positioned at 2θ=34.0° and peak intensities and FWHMs were improved as the annealing temperatures increased. The optical transmittance was improved with increasing annealing temperatures and was over 80% in the wavelength region between 435 and 1100 nm at the annealing temperature of 700 and 800oC. With increasing annealing temperature, the electron concentrations and electron mobilities were increased. On the other hand, electric resistivity of the films were decreased with increasing annealing temperatures. These results showed that the heat treatment temperature is an important parameter to improve the structural, optical, and electrical properties of Bi-doped ZnO thin films.

Single crystal diamonds are in great demand in such fields as mechanical, electronic applications and optoelectronics. Large area single crystal diamonds are attracting attention in future industries for mass production and low cost. In this study, hot filament CVD (HFCVD) is used to grow large area single crystal diamond. However, the growth rate of large area single crystal diamond using HFCVD is known to be very low. The goal of this study is to use single crystal diamond substrates in HFCVD with methane-hydrogen gas mixtures to increase the growth rate of single crystal diamond and to optimize the conditions by analysing the effects of deposition conditions for high quality crystallinity. The deposition pressure, the ratio of CH4 / H2 gas, the substrate temperature and the distance between the filament and the substrate were optimized. The sample used a 4×4 (mm2) size single crystal diamond substrate (100), the CH4 / H2 gas ratio was fixed at 5%, the substrate temperature was synthesized to about 1000℃. At this time, the deposition pressure was changed to three types of 50, 75, 85 Torr and deposited. Finally, optimization was investigated under pressure conditions to analyse the growth rate and quality of single crystal diamond.

In this study, the tribology of laser patterned DLC thin film was studied. DLC thin films were coated by RF-PECVD to improve the durability of tungsten carbide (WC) materials. DLC thin films have high hardness and low friction characteristics. Dot and line patterning was processed on the surface of DLC thin film with femtosecond laser, and the coefficient of friction was improved. As a result of ball on disk abrasion test, the hardness and friction coefficient of DLC thin films were much better than that of WC material. The friction coefficient of DLC thin film with dot patterning and line patterning showed better results. The excellent performance of the laser patterned DLC coating is appeared to reduce the coefficient of friction due to the reduction of surface contact area.
