1설계기준자동차 유형별 회전교차로 사고분석 및 논의

The goal of this study is to analyze the factors affecting the accidents based on design vehicle. The traffic accident data (from 2013 to 2015) are collected from the “traffic accident analysis system (TAAS)” data set of the Road Traffic Authority. Count data model is utilized in this study to develop the traffic accident models. 17 explanatory variables such as geometry and traffic volume factors are used. The main results are as follows. First, the null hypothesis that the design vehicle does not affect the number of accidents of roundabout is rejected. Second, 4 count data accident models are developed, which are all statistically significant. Third, the inscribed circle diameter, entering volume, mean entry lane width, mean exit lane width, the number of circulatory roadway, the entry radius, the number of bus stop, the number of leg and crosswalk, and circulatory roadway width are analyzed to see how the variables affect the accident of roundabout. Through the development of models by design vehicle, the fact that the accident factors at roundabout is different from design vehicle is revealed. Also the test results of fitness using RMSE and others show that Poisson model in the case of small size vehicle, and negative binomial model in the case of large size vehicle, and semitrailer and total model are appropriate to the given data.

A device that opens or closes the passage of a fluid for the purpose of controlling the flow, pressure and temperature of the fluid in a pipe is called a valve. Hydraulic actuator is a primary component of the hydraulic valve systems. Actuators are installed on these valves to convert power into mechanical outputs such as force or torque to allow the loads of valves to be operated remotely or automatically controlled. As the opening and closing time of the valve varies depending on the type of actuator used, the characteristics of the pressure and velocity distribution depending on the valve opening and closing time are compared using computational fluid dynamics analysis. The flow characteristics of around the valve in the pipe and at the pipe exit were analyzed for the valves with opening times of the valves of 3 seconds and 7 seconds. The velocity and pressure distribution at the exit of the tube are almost the same regardless of the opening time of the valve.

Microcapsules are fine cell sealing liquid, solid or gas molecules and are applied to various fields such as food, pesticides, medicine, clothes, cosmetic, paint, etc.
In this study, it is prepared microcapsules consisted of essential oil as core material and Poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) as wall material by solvent evaporation method. The effects of kind of essential oil, stirring rate, temperature, PCL on the preparing of the microcapsules were investigated.
Presence of essential oils in the microcapsules was confirmed by FT-IR. The shape and size of the microcapsules was observed by optical microscope and PSA. The average particle size of the microcapsules has the smallest size, in the case of lemongrass oil, 1000 rpm, 25 ℃, PCL 2 wt% is 1.12 ㎛, in the case of lime oil, 750 rpm, 25 ℃, PCL 2 wt% is 1.34 ㎛. Also entrapment efficiency of the microcapsules were calculated with UV-Vis absorbance. In the case of lemongrass oil, 750 rpm: 77.2 %, 15 ℃: 70.8 %, PCL 1 wt%: 76.8 %, in the case of lime oil, 1000 rpm: 53.4 %, 35 ℃: 78.3 %, PCL 3 wt%: 72.5 %.*

This paper presents an approach to the problem of electromagnetic planewave reflection and transmission at multilayer material boundaries based on the wave-amplitude matrix method. In this approach, an analogy of the problem to an equivalent transmission line is evoked and the problem of electromagnetic reflection and transmission at material boundaries is modeled with a cascaded connection of a transmission line impedance step and a transmission line section. The generalized scattering matrix formulation is presented for a two-port network followed by the wave-amplitude matrix method for a cascaded two-port network. The wave-amplitude matrix method is then applied to the cascaded connection of transmission lines. Finally the proposed method is applied to the analysis of an anti-reflection coating and a half-wave radome.

Several kinds of active carbons with high specific surface area and micro pore structure are prepared from the coconut shell charcoal by means of chemical activation. The results obtained confirm the importance of the activating chemical agents to charcoal ratio and the flow rate of gas during carbonization on the development of porosity. In addition, it shows that chemical activation can be successfully used to develop activated carbons with high surface area(1800~2500 m2/g) and, mean pore size(1.98~2.38 nm). Also, the electrochemical performances of super capacitor are studied using prepared active carbon as the electrode. Also the electrochemical behaviors of conductive materials were investigated by constant current charge/discharge test, cyclic voltammetry and leakage tests. The super capacitor using electrode with VGCF and Super-P has better capacitance than those of other conductive materials. In charge/discharge tests using VGCF(20%)+Super-P(80), super capacitor showed the best performance(0.452 F/cm2) in the electrolyte of TEABF₄dissolved in a PC(1M).

Bio-electrochemical anaerobic digestion (BEAD) is a promising technology that can overcome low organic removal efficiency and unstable methane production of conventional anaerobic digestion (AD) and is used to produce sustainable biogas. Various research reported that BEAD accelerated methane production and stabilization rates; however, BEAD can not overcome theoretical maximum methane yield based on removed COD (0.35 L-CH4/g-CODremoved) without additional electron donor. Therefore, in this study, improvement of methane yield and production were investigated by injection of H2 into AD and BEAD reactors. As the result, added H2 could improve methane production and yield in both AD and BEAD reactor. BEAD reactor more efficiently improved H2 methanation rate than that of AD reactor. H2 methanation efficiencies of AD and BEAD reactors were 68.6 % and 78.3 %, respectively. This indicates that the H2 injection method was required to improve H2 methanation, and further research should be conducted to improve H2 mass transfer.

Recently, electric vehicles (EV) drived by Li-ion battery are one of the solution to overcome environmental and energy crisis. Due to high energy density, lithium-ion batteries are widely used in electric vehicles. However, thermal management of batteries in EV is very important issue due to poor heat resistance of lithium ions. Temperature and heat generation outside the optimal operation range can have a severe influence on the reliability and lifetime of Li-ion battery cells. Therefore, it is preliminary investigation for the research of vehicle battery systems to study thermal characteristics of a single or multi cells. The performance and lifetime of lithium ion (Li-ion) batteries are strongly affected by the internal operating temperature. Thermal characterization of battery cells is very important to keep consistent operation of Li-ion battery applications. Therefore, the main focus of the present work is to characterize the thermal behavior of Li-ion battery cell by simulatory study. The specific heat generation of cell was quantified at the natural convective cooling environment. In addition, the heat generation and temperature profile of a cell were simulated for different discharging rates from 1C to 5C-rates. Internal peak temperature of the Li-ion cell was investigated during different C-rates. In 5C operation, 27.81 W was generated inn a cell and 327.32K was observed on the surface.

In this thesis, a new prospect on the preparation of interfacial polymerized composite membranes based on polyethersulfone (PES) polymer impregnating TiO2 nanoparticles. The PES-TiO2 mixed matrix composite membranes are prepared after the fixation of TiO2 nanoparticles on the surface of porous PES supports using interfacial polymerization of thin film nanocomposites. Aqueous solution of m-phenylenediamine and organic solution of trimesoyl chloride with TiO2 nanoparticles are used in the interfacial polymerization process. The influence of the content of TiO2 nanoparticles on the characteristics of PES-TiO2 composite membranes are investigated with scanning electron microscope observations of membrane surface and cross-sections, contact angle measurements, pure water flux measurements and ultrafiltration experiments of BSA (bovine serum albumin) solution.
As a results, the composite membranes impregnating TiO2 nanoparticles are successfully prepared. The membrane performances of composite membranes are enhanced as increasing the content of TiO2 nanoparticles because the hydrophilicity grows better as the contact angle decreased. The BSA ultrafiltration experiments using the composite PES membrane prepared at the content of 0.125 wt% TiO2 nanoparticles are showed that the flux improvements are reached as 15% compared to the pristine composite membrane which is not impregnating TiO2 nanoparticles. Those results showed that the enhancement of membrane performance in comparison with the pristine composite PES membrane in terms of increasing hydrophilicity as well as reducing membrane fouling by impregnating TiO2 nanoparticles even in low concentration.

Carbon nanotube/graphene-based one-dimensional nanostructure was successfully synthesized via electrospinning and heat treatments. During the electrospinning process, nanofibers with evenly distributed graphene and PS nanobeads were synthesized. During the post-heat-treatment process, the pores were generated by decomposition of PS. Finally, CNT-RGO-CoSe2-C-composite was synthesized through subsequent oxidation and selenization. CNT-RGO-CoSe2- C-composite showed high discharge capacity of 390 mA h g-1 after 500 cycles at 1.0 A g-1. The high sodium-ion storage properties were attributed to the synergetic effect of CNT/graphene-based materials with high electrical conductivity.

This paper deals with the geometric and environmental factors related to the accidents of roundabout. The goal of this study is to comparatively analyze the factors affecting the accident rates based on the built environment. In pursuing the above, the traffic accident data(2013~2015) are collected from the “TAAS(traffic accident analysis system)” data set of the Road Traffic Authority. Multiple regression models have been utilized in this study to develop the models. 32 explanatory variables such as geometry, traffic volume and built environment factors are used. The main results are as follows. First, 2 accident rate models based on the built environment are developed, which are all statistically significant. Also the test results of fitness using MPB, MAD, RMSE and correlation coefficient show that the developed models are appropriate to the given data. Second, the impact of total floor area and building area on the accident rate of roundabout are analyzed to significantly differ. As total floor area of business·residential facility and commercial building area increase, the accident rates are evaluated to increase. On the other hand, educational building area and green space area are analyzed to reduce the accident rate. Finally, the appropriate management for distance between crosswalk and yield line, entry radius, design speed and the number of circulatory roadway lane are required to reduce the accident rate.
