초록보기
Objectives : The purpose of this study is to analyze the correlation between participation behavior (spontaneity, welfare, unpaid service and regularity) and Korean medicine college students' satisfaction about medical service, aspect of general, emotional, social and personal capacity enhancement. In addition, correlation between of perception toward doctor-atient equal relationships and students' satisfaction were investigated.
Methods : The questionnaires used in this study consisted of participation behavior, satisfaction about medical service, perception toward doctor-patient equal relationships and sociodemographic characteristics. 30 of 31 cases were analyzed.
Results : Only welfare showed a significant positive correlation with the general (p〈0.01) and emotional (p〈0.001) aspect of satisfaction. Grade of student were negatively related to the acquisition of knowledge related to major and motivation for study, which are sub-factors of personal capacity enhancement (P〈 0.05).
Conclusions : Welfare has positively influenced general and emotional satisfaction with medical service. And emotional satisfaction can be seen as influencing the students' positive thinking and self-realization. So education related to welfare prior to volunteering activities could have a positive impact on students participating in medical service.

Objectives : This study aims to evaluate the effects of co-administration of blue honeysuckle (BH) and tamoxifen on pharmacokinetics of tamoxifen after 7 days repeated administration, as a process of the comprehensive and integrative medicine.
Materials and methods : After 7 day-repeated oral treatment of 4 mg/kg of tamoxifen or tamoxifen 0.4 mg/㎖ with BH 40, 20 and 10 mg/㎖ concentration mixed formulas, the plasma was collected at 30 min before administration, 30 min, 1, 2, 3.5, 4, 6, 8 and 24 hrs, respectively. Plasma concentrations of tamoxifen were analyzed using LC-MS/MS methods. PK parameters of tamoxifen (Tmax, Cmax, AUC, t1/2 and MRTinf) were analysis as compared witht amoxifen administered rats using noncompartmental PK data analyzer programs.
Results : Although no significant changes on the tamoxifen plasma concentrations and PK parameters were demonstrated after end of 7 day-repeated oral administration of mixed formulas consisted of tamoxifen and BH 40 or 10 mg/㎖ as compared to tamoxifen 0.4 mg/㎖ treated rats, seven day-repeated oral administration of tamoxifen and BH 20 mg/㎖ mixed formula induced significant increase of plasma tamoxifen concentrations from 30 min to 3.5 hrs after end of administration with significant increases of Cmax as compared with tamoxifen 0.4 mg/㎖ single formula treated rats, not in AUC0-t, and AUC0-inf, respectively.
Conclusion : Based on the results of the present study, 7 day-repeated oral administration of tamoxifen and BH 40, 20 or 10 mg/㎖ mixed formulas did not significantly influenced on the overall the oral bioavailability of tamoxifen, somewhat differed from the results of our previous single oral administration study, in which single oral administration of tamoxifen 0.4 mg/㎖ and BH 10 mg/㎖ mixed formulation induced decreases of the oral bioavailability of tamoxifen, but not in tamoxifen 0.4 mg/㎖ and BH 40 or 20 mg/㎖ mixed formulas.

Qing-ren Wang's 'YI UN GAI CUA(醫林改錯)' is a unique Blood stasis (also blood stagnation) prescription medical classic of China's Qing Dynasty. It has a clinical utility even today, so it's research value is high. Comparative study of medical classic allows us to not only find similar prescriptions but also expand prescription knowledge(indication, pathology, treatment principle) of similar prescriptions.
In a research method, similar prescriptions were found by comparing the weight ratio of herbal medicines composition between 5 medical classics'(YiLinGaiCuo + 4 famous medical classics) prescriptions through the Microsoft's Access program. And the contents of the medical classic were analyzed to compare the indications, treatment principles, and pathologies between similar prescriptions. As a result, 4 Qing-ren Wang's prescriptions were found to be similar to other 4 medical classics' prescriptions and we expand the indications of the four similar prescriptions and supplement the existing insufficient prescription knowledge of YiLinGaiCuo based on other 4 medical classics. Through this study, we confirmed that the same method can be used for other prescriptions to expand the indication and supplement prescription knowledge by medical classic.

초록보기
Andrographis Herba is used as a traditional herbal medicine in the southeast Asian countries for the treatment of stomatitis, pharyngalgia, fever etc. In this study, we investigated the hepatoprotective effect of water extract of Andrographis Herba (AHE; the lyophilized yield was 11.2%) on tert-butyl hydroperoxide (t-BHP)-induced oxidative stress in human hepatoma cell line HepG2. T-BHP is widely used to induce oxidative stress in a variety of cells. In HepG2, exposure to T-BHP results in excessive ROS generation and depletion of anti-oxidant systems. To investigate the hepatoprotective effect of AHE, cell viability was measured by MTT assay, apoptosis-related proteins, poly ADP ribose polymerase (PARP) and procaspase-3 were detected by immuno-blot assay and then analyzed the expression densities. In addition, the changes of H2O2 production was determined. Pre-treatment with two dosages of AHE (100 and 300 ㎍/㎖) significantly increased the cell viability, PARP and procaspase-3 reduced by t-BHP. In addition AHE also significantly decreased the oxidative stress in t-BHP-nduced HepG2 cells. These results suggest that AHE has hepatoprotective and anti-oxidant effect.

Objective : In this study, we reviewed previous studies about the effect of natural compounds from herbs on damages by oxidative stress in human hair dermal papilla cell (HDPC), as cellular alopecia model.
Methods : We searched every reports, letters, and review articles through Pubmed and google scholar for 10 years using key words such as oxygen stress, hair, alopecia, and cortical papilla cells.
Resutls : HDPCs were used in experiments of totally four reviewed studies. Also, oxidative stress HDPC decreased cell viability and caused G2/M arrest in HDPC. And researchers reported changes of hair growth-related gene expression in oxidative stressed-HDPC.
Conclusion : These results suggest that oxidative stress could be used the study cellular levels of alopecia by hindering cell growth in HDPC.
