The aim of this study is to assess the social value of Ham-Pyung Butterfly Festival in the year of 2011. The tool for the assesment is the zonal travel cost method. The result of the study can be summed up as follows; First, the average individual consumer`s surplus measures approximately from 29,700 to 30,100 Won. Second, the total consumer`s surplus, that is the social value of the festival, ranges approximately from 7.6 to 7.7 billion Won. The most beneficiary of the event is turned up to be the people who are living in the outside of Ham-Pyung and go on a tour there. For that reason, the central government looks to have the obligation to support and to sponsor the festival.

본 연구는 경주국립공원에서 이용밀도가 높은 도 심 내 지구들을 대상으로 탐방로를 평가하였기에 향 후 탐방로 복원을 위한 기초 자료로서 활용 성이 높을 것으로 기대된다. 그러나 본 연구는 탐방로의 물리적 특성 및 훼손 유형에 기초하여 평가만을 수행하였기 때문에 전체적인 탐방로의 상태를 파악하는데 한계 가 있다고 판단된다. 따라서 탐방로의 기초 정보를 바탕으로 주변 식생과의 관계, 종조 성, 토양성질 등 과 같은 다각적인 관점에서 복합적으로 연구가 진행 되어야 할 것으로 생각된다.


The purpose of this study is to offer the raw data for restoration and management of trails by assessing the physical environments, the types of deterioration and the naturalness on trails located in the Sogeumgang, Hwarang and Seoak districts of Gyeongju National Park, Korea. The Sogeumgang was 5.9m, 1.1m of the Hwarang and 1.8m of the Seoak district in trail width. In the bared width of trail, the Sogeumgang was 3.9m, 0.9m of the Hwarang and 1.7m of the Seoak district. In the depth of erosion, the Sogeumgang was 37.1cm, 14.2cm of the Hwarang and Seoak district. The Sogeumgang was 16.8°, 13.1° of the Hwarang and 12.2° of the Seoak district in longitudinal slope. In the left and right of transect slope, the Sogeumgang was 18.3° and 12.6°, 18.0° and 21.3° of the Hwarang and 15.3° and 22.7° of the Seoak district. In the left, middle and right of soil hardness, the Sogeumgang was 29.9mm, 34.7mm and 31.1mm, 27.6mm, 35.0mm and 27.2mm of the Hwarang and 27.1mm, 30.8mm and 28.0mm of the Seoak district. The types of deterioration in trails were 10 types of the Sogeumgang, 11 types of the Hwarang and 9 types of the Seoak district. The trail erosion, rock exposure and root exposure were substantially observed in the types of deterioration. In the results of the naturalness assessment, the Hwarang district was a good condition, but the Sogeumgang district was bad. The indicators of the Sogeumgang district were mostly poor.

본 연구에서는 영산강수계의 영본A 지점을 대상으로 평균 8일 간격의 실측된 수질과 유량자료를 이용 하여 유량 조건 별 수질특성을 평가함으로써 우리나라 오염총량관리 발전을 위한 기초 연구 자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 본 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.


This study was conducted to identify runoff characteristics of pollutants using flow duration curve(FDC) and load duration curve(LDC) in Youngbon A watershed during 2009~2011. A flow rate and pollutant load in the study watershed were estimated by equation of stage-discharge and discharge-loads rating curve. From these methods, BOD, T-N, and T-P have evaluated whether water quality standards would have attained. Results showed that BOD loads of about 50% plotted above the LDC, while T-N and T-P loads of about 50% plotted below the curve. It means that BOD of about 50% have exceeded the water quality criteria, while T-N and T-P of about 50% have complied with the water quality standards. Meanwhile, BOD, TN and T-P loads plotted above the LDC of low flows, implying that they were more affected by point pollution sources than nonpoint pollution sources in the study watershed.

According to previous studies, the increased air temperature can lead to change of thermal stratification structure of lakes and reservoirs. The changed thermal stratification may result in alteration of materials and energy flow. The objective of this study was to predict the effect of climate change on the water temperature and stratification structure of Daecheong Reservoir, located in Geum River basin of Korea, using a three-dimensional (3D) hydrodynamic model (ELCOM). A long-term (100 years) weather data set provided by the National Institute of Meteorological Research (NIMR) was used for forcing the 3D model. The model was applied to two different hydrological conditions, dry year (2001) and normal year (2004). It means that the effect of air temperature increase was only considered. Simulation results showed that the surface water temperature of the reservoir tend to increase in the future, and the establishment of thermal stratification can occur earlier and prolonged longer. As a result of heat flux analysis, the evaporative heat loss can increase in the future than now and before. However, the convective heat loss and net long wave radiation from water surface decreased due to increased air temperature.

The Ministry of Environment established a plan for advancement of livestock manure management in July 2011 and finalized the “Comprehensive Measures for Advancement of Livestock Manure Management” in May 2012 complementing and strengthening the plan. In this process, it was necessary to investigate the status of discharge of livestock manure and its environmental impact, for example on rivers, groundwater, arable outflow water and soil. We investigated types of livestock husbandry, discharge of livestock manure, and production and use of organic fertilizers and presented the improvement measures of livestock manure management and organic fertilizer use. First, it is necessary to come up with measures to calculate appropriate density and numbers of livestock animals and prevent overcrowded breeding. Second, as many of the private livestock manure treatment facilities are out-dated and their long-term aerated reaction tanks are not regularly managed, it is necessary to find ways to improve those facilities through inspection and diagnosis. In addition, since existing public treatment facilities are designed to add clean water to belt filter press, additional water is needed. Therefore, it is necessary to improve belt filter press in order to decrease the extra water. Finally, although large-scale organic fertilizer plants and resources recycling centers produce good organic (liquid) fertilizers with proper components, it is necessary to establish standards for maturity of liquid fertilizers in order to facilitate efforts to turn livestock manure into resources.

Noise and vibration occurs during construction intermittently, but with the most arise complaints. There is a need to efficiently manage the construction noise and vibration problems because in case a residential facility that requires calmness around the construction site adversely affects the living conditions of nearby residents. The ministry of environment has mandating the installation of soundproofing facilities for the management of construction noise. In order to enforce a particular construction, the mandatory install with soundproofing facilities before the start of construction, and after construction. However, Installation guide of soundproofing facilities for construction sites were not considered affected areas by noise and there is no provision of performance evaluation for soundproofing facilities. In this study, investigated the status and problems of the installation guide for soundproofing facilities in construction sites, we propose an efficient installation guide of soundproofing facilities for the reduction construction noise.

Noise and vibration problems at the construction site, expansion of construction scale and frequency of urban construction is increased, has given the damage to local residents. Also, the result of civil complaint about noise and vibration that occurred in 2011 was 56,244; it is showing an increasing trend of more than 4% annually. In particular, the construction noise and vibration, the civil complaints of around construction site accounts for 64.6% (36,353), are harmful to the tranquility of living environment. As a result, the government has managed to strengthen the regulatory standard of construction noise (65dB (A), Day-time) from 2011. However, the regulatory standard of construction noise and vibration does not meet and also complaints related the construction noise and vibration not decreased. Because the management system can be applied to the construction site is insufficient and a shortage of manpower. In this study, investigated the status and problems of the regulatory standards related to construction noise and vibration, we propose an efficient management plan of construction noise and vibration.

본 연구에서는 지반구조 내에서 발생되는 다양한 진동이 인접한 지점에 미치는 영향을 제어하기 위해 진동 전파 경로 상에 방진구를 설치하여 방진구의 유무 및 위치에 따른 변위 및 진동속도를 비교하고 진동차단효율을 확인하였다. 이번 연구는 단지 유한요소로 모델링 된 지반구조에서의 방진구 유무 및 위치에 따른 진동 저감 연구로서, 추후 실제 지반에서 방진구의 폭, 깊이, 위치에 따른 진동차단효율을 평가하는 연구가 더욱 필요할 것으로 판단된다.


In order to improve the environmental vibration, it is necessary to method for not only reduce the vibration source, but also control the vibration path. In this study, we used bore bole for estimate the vibration reduction. And also, we analyzed displacement and vibration velocity caused by the position of borehole as well as the condition of borehole in ground structure. Visual FEA (Finite Element Analysis) program was used in this numerical analysis. The results are as follows : The displacement magnitude and X, Y direction displacement were represented to different results due to the condition and position of borehole, and were represented to the lowest values when the position of borehole is the most close condition from the vibration source. And also, the vibration velocity was decreased as using bore bole in ground structure. The isolation efficiency of the vibration was calculated to maximum 18.40% when borehole was established to the most close position from the vibration source and the receive point.

9연구노트 : 해양환경변화관측을 위한 GOCI CDOM 자료 분석

본 연구에서는 2012년 5월부터 8월까지 한반도 주변 해역의 해양환경변화를 모니터링 하기 위해 GOCI CDOM의 변화에 대하여 분석하였다. 제주도, 울릉도, 서해안 2개 해역 CDOM의 분포는 모두 5월과 6월에 비해 상승을 하였고, 서해안 1 해역은 중국 연안해역으로부터 하락하는 경향이 나타났다. 중국 연안해역의 CDOM 하락은 울릉도 해역이 5월과 6월에 비해 상승하는 것을 알 수 있었다. GOCI CDOM의 이러한 변화 경향은 태풍에 의해 발생하는 강우의 영향으로 육상에서 기인하는 용 존 유기물이 강하구역을 통해 배출되는 지역에서 비정상적으로 상승한 지역을 포함하여 GOCI CDOM의 변화에서 공간적 차이가 발생할 것으로 판단된다. 제주해역과 동해 울릉도 해역은 GOCI CDOM의 변화에서 연안 해양 환경 변화의 공간적 구분을 명확히 나타내고 있으며, 이러한 GOCI CDOM의 시-공간적 변화에 대한 연구는 해양생물의 이동과 연안 해양 수질 연구에 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.


Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI), the World`s first spaceborne ocean color observation satellite operated in geostationary orbit, was successfully launched on May 2010. The main missions of GOCI is the coastal environment monitoring of GOCI in order to meet the necessity of long-term climate change monitoring and research. The GOCI have higher spatial resolution than MODIS, 500m × 500m, and 8 spectral ocean color channels. GOCI have a capability for observation on the coastal environment change, GOCI perform the observation with 8 times a day. In this paper, we presented the more improved results for observation on the coastal environment change than MODIS ocean color sensor and detected the spatial difference of CDOM for monitoring coastal environment change.
